| I am so very sorry for your loss. This sounds fishy to me! Perhaps they gave him to much sedation for his size. If he had been vet checked in the past they would have picked up something if his heart was underdeveloped. The reason I say that is when I took Buddy for his very first vet visit there was a lady holding a tiny chi. He was there for his first vet check also. She went before me and came out crying. The vet told her to take him back, he had an underdeveloped heart! I think they are covering up something. Raise holy hell! |

| Ok, let me see if I understand this right.... You took your yorkie to a VET to be groomed? It was the SAME VET that gave the sedation? And yet... the SAME VET that did the autopsy? If that's the case... then yes. Raise hell. I don't know that they will give you money to buy another yorkie, but what they have done is wrong. I would demand that another vet do an autopsy. And if they sent the heart off to be further checked, demand to see the report. Don't just take their word for it. It really sounds like they are trying to cover their hiney. I'm so sorry that this has happened. My heart aches for you.

| I am so sorry for your loss. You got a lot of great advice, I wouldn't drop it. It won't bring him back, but you might save another dog from dying in the hand of that groomer.

| I am so sorry for your loss. What a terrible tragedy. I agree that something sounds very wrong here. If the tests in his heart come back confirming that it was underdeveloped, you probably have cause within your breeding contract (assuming you have one) that would allow for a replacement or $ as that would be a life-threatening genetic defect within the first year. If, however, the heart tests come back okay - then I do not think it unfair to request the vet/grooming facility cover your loss. There was obviously some kind of reaction to the sedation for whatever reason. I would also request copies of EVERYTHING, from anything you signed when you dropped your baby off for grooming to all the records of what was done before, during and after the grooming. I am just shaking my head as I'm typing this. I can't imagine losing my baby, but to lose a baby in this manner just doesn't make sense. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hope that you are able to get another baby to help you through your grief.
