| Is she giving it to you or selling it? I would ask about vet records for one thing. Not the best judge with all the probs I have had with Gypsy, so bumping it.

| Make sure you know what she's been feeding her. You don't want to make a sudden food change and have her get sick.

| Congrats, hope all works out for you. If she is something you want I would ask them to take her to your vet and make sure she is healthy. Good luck.

| :) YAY! How exciting I am assuming she hasn't taken any pictures and sent them to you? DEF. ask about the food, you will want to keep her on the same diet. Ask about her health and if she has had any problems in the past (hypoglecemia, collapsed trachea, etc.). You will want to see if she was spayed. She may also need some baby teeth removed depending on how old she is. Ask if she is potty trained and where she sleeps @ night...Most puppies will sleep in an xpen, their crate, or with their owner Hmmm I think that is all I can think of now. Are you keeping the same name for her?

| Ask how the pup does with strangers, children and other dogs. Ask if she bites. Ask how much she barks. Ask, politely, why she can't move the pup with her. There may be more to the story.

| I am really from the old school - I guess. Go over and meet the dog and if you like it -- take it home. I do think it's worthwhile to learn whether or not it's up to date on its shots - so you'll know where you stand there. A lot of us get new little puppies that have problems and issues and we love them to pieces. A lot of people get rescues with real problems and love them. So - just go for it. Remember - "Old dogs CAN learn new tricks." Good luck! Carol Jean |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | In addition to asking about vet records, ask which vet they take the dog to. Then call the vet directly. I was given a full "health report" from a rescue outfit, and it didn't include any of the bad information the vet gave me directly. And be sure to post pictures here so we can give you our final OK. LOL. It's sort of like bringing your date home on prom night for the parents to meet and approve.

| So I started this post over a year ago and to give an update, Jasmine is the greatest, the night I went to see her i couldn't leave her there. They pretty much neglected her, she had a huge cut on her from left paw that was flesh because they tried to cut her hair themselves ( it has taken her a year to let hubby or I cut her nails) she was infested with fleas and they kept her outside on there porch becuase she def wasn't potty trained and their neighbors had 2 large dogs that i think intimidated her so when i went to see her i told hubby i cant leave her here shes coming home with us and ever since she has been with us. she sleeps in bed with us every single night, and i couldn't ask for a better companion, she's my "protector and watch dog" LOL!!! it took her so long to get comfy with us and let us rub her belly and now it makes me so mad to think the other people barely cared for her, i passed out at the vets office when we went to get her from being spayed! LOL (im a big dork) sorry this is so long but I was just going through my old post and I thought I should give an update! She's my baby girl!
