| Each dog varies, and size is a huge factor in lifespan. Smaller dogs can usually live up to 14yrs, but sometimes even 20. My parents had an afgahn hound that finally had to be put down at 14yrs. It depends on the health and size. For yorkies I've heard around 14, give or take a year or two.

| One of my special Yorkie guys passed away at the age of 16. His vision and hearing were poor but he lived a very long, good life as a member of our family. His brother (from same parents but not same litter) died at 13 due to health problems. |

| My sweet, precious, perfect little Chester lived to be 17. He was deaf and mostly blind by then, but still the most wonderful companion. I had Rosebud until she was 18. So hopefully, you've got many, many years to go! |
