| Just read this thread and I am thrilled that you are keeping Bob! I agree with everyone here......it seems that he wasn't wanted (how someone could do that, it is beyond me) and too, if they were worried, they would have advertised (radio, newspaper, vets/groomers, fliers, etc). It is a sad situtation, but atleast he is in a happy and loving home now! Can't wait to see new pictures!

| Sounds like Bob knew what he was doing when he found you. If his owners haven't missed him after 3 months, then you have yourself an addition to your family. He has probably been praying as much as you have that his owners wouldn't show up to claim him. As for the newspaper thing. I read where making a loud noise with a rolled up paper would startle a pup out of barking. I decided to try that on Roxy. I got only as far as rolling it up and she dropped on the floor curled up in a ball and cowered! Now, she has never been hit so I don't know what that is all about. The fly swatter doesn't bother her. But show her anything rolled up and she is on the floor scared to death. But in Bob's case, it sure sounds like he was on the receiving end of the paper and the swater more than once. Poor little guy. Give him lots of love (like you haven't already ) and he will get his trust back and know the only thing he has to fear is being loved to death. Congrats on your new baby. I'm really happy for you and for Bob.

| give it up! forget it, he is yours. If the owners wanted him I think they would have read the paper once in three months. Obviously they aren't looking very hard. You have proof that you had the add running for all that time and no one claimed him. I hope you have many loving years with him as I'm sure he is very grateful to have found you. Did you ever consider that someone may have left him for you? |

| 3 months and he is yours!! I would now officially consider him a gift from God I think there is a reason no one has claimed him and that he came to your doorstep - its destiny! Your his new mommy!

| I am sure you took him to the vets with the care you have given him. Just by chance did the vet or someone check to see if he had a Microchip in him??? I know I have one in Babybear. So if he is lost they will find that he belongs to me and The vet can contact me. Babybear also wears a tag that says he has a microchip in him. If he loves you that much I don't think the other (bad) owner has a say, your baby has made up his mind and you are his now. Val |

| To me, if someone hasn't claimed him in 3 months......sheesh. Thats a long time to run an ad. I know if one of mine disappeared, I'd been checking newspapers, putting up flyers, having people pray for return, I don't even want to think about it. I'd pull the ad, and give him all the love he deserves! He was so lucky to come to your house! |
