| Groomer paid immediately! I was typing for so long that I got timed out.... Here it is again. My husband walked into the groomer's this morning with bill in hand. He said that when he handed the groomer the bill, he opened his checkbook immediately. His hand was shaking while writing the check. There was no confrontation like last time, but on the way out, the groomer claimed that he really didn't notice the cut. My husband turned around and said that he finds it hard to believe that a wound requiring two stitches, was not bleeding all over the table when it happened. My husband walked out at this point and went to the bank to deposit the check. My trust in groomers is gone. As I stated previously, I thought I had asked all the right questions beforehand. I even went to the place to check out the environment prior to ever scheduling an appointment. A plus for me is that this place keeps every dog in individual and large wooden floor pens when they are done, rather than a cage. The guy even blow dries their hair. I thought he would be safe. Scruffles will be ok. He's been clung to me ever since this happened. Poor baby looks like a chihuahua now. He's on clavamox 2X's a day and his stitches have to be removed in 10 days. I asked about the dissolvable kind but the vet said that she does not like to use them for wounds of this depth. Scruffles and I would like to thank everyone for your kind words and suggestions. We truly appreciate it. Also- If any of you are in the Harriman NY area or even Upper Bergen County (Franklin Lakes, Ridgewood, Wyckoff) and know of a professional groomer with a stellar reputation, maybe I could look into bringing him there in the future once he has some hair. Regards, Heather |

| I'm glad you made a half-way honest man of the groomer. Hugs to you and Scruffles. May she not fear all groomers in the future!

| I'm so sorry to hear-we've all been through this when finding a new groomer. We went to one that was recommended off a local forum and she butchered our poor girl and was shaved so badly that she felt neekie and was depressed and hid for about 1.5 weeks. It was hard seeing her depressed like this. I was angry for such a long time. Then I heard that a puppy cut was such that we were supposed to ask for a 'breed' cut instead. They do grow out if it makes you feel better and he'll def. grow in by the time the cold winter comes in. Like everyone else suggesed, throw some clothes on him and I just think if you're upset at something your dog will sense it too. He'll be a cutie pie no matter what people think |
