| I'm home from the vet He required two stitches and the wound is near his pee pee. I'm just so horrified by this whole thing. How could someone do this? What looked like a knick at first turned out to be a flesh wound that went deeper than we thought. I'm sure it bled when he cut him, but they probably used an agent to stop the bleeding. I can't believe he tried to cover this whole thing up. We're going to go to this groomer first thing in the morning and present him with the bill for $206 and ask him to pay within 24 hours otherwise he'll hear from our attorney. I'm also going to take pictures of this too for evidence. I have an antibiotic for Scruffles and he had to go under anesthesia. Thanks everyone for your kindness. |

| I’m so sorry to hear about your Scruffles. I would be so angry…that sounds like a serious cut too! I hope he feels better soon and I’m glad to hear you plan to stick that “groomer” with the vet bill—that’s the least he could do.

| OMG!! He needed 2 stitches?? That is unexceptable! What kind of groomer would cut your dog that deeply and not tell you? So irresponsible. Good for you to make them pay for the vet bill you should also ask for your money back if you even paid for the cut. I would worry too much about the hair cut because Zoe's haircut before the last was a really bad shave as well. Sounds like the same as your baby. Even his face hair was shaved off. believe me I was pissed and thought it was the worse hair cut ever. He looked like a chi which is fine but he's a yorkie. Hair grows back but the cut is a big no no. I'm sorry this happened.

| How awful. I don't think I would go and have a confortation in person. Someone could end up in jail or worse get hurt. Call him and offer him the chance to pay before going to small claims court. Do you have that where you live? What could have possibly cut him that deep , not the clippers. Scissors maybe. |

| Omg!!! I can't believe this story . I am sooo terribly sorry to hear this. This is why I tell DH all the time that I'm scared to take our 5mo. to the groomer. From nightmares like this. I hope your baby heals fast and keep us posted on what the groomer says or does.

| Try Pet Smart next time.. I would kill this guy! Where was this. Is it a business or some one's home or what??? I really want to learn how to groom Chewy myself. I think the place I go does a good job but Chewy hates it and he is very scared... Mind you he hates when I brush him... so he has no trust when it comes to grooming but I am working really hard on earning his trust! These poor babies... When i take (We go to pet smart) Chewy I stand right there and watch everything they do... they have a big glass window and I can watch every move they make. And they see me watching so they are really good to him! </IMG>

| Goodness! I can't believe your week. That poor little Scruffles, too. Let us know how it goes tomorrow. When the groomer sees you coming, he might call the police - he'll be scared your husband will deck him!

| Goodnight. I'll let you know how it goes... Scruffles is sleeping now. He really is very cute still. And he acts like nothing happened. My husband and I have been talking this situation over. My in-laws are horrified. The vet office was horrified too. Everyone's asked me who did this. Odd thing is that this is a groomer who also has a Yorkie. He's a local groomer in Monroe, NY. He's not a chain, but located in a store front. After all of the horror from groomers in the news lately, I asked every question that I could ask beforehand to make sure that he will be safe. Scruffles is 9 months old. Just to give you some background, training was challenging in the beginning as they are with all puppies, but he's perfect now. I regularly wash him, shave his ears, clip his nails, brush him and blow dry. He is used to being handled so I know his behavior couldn't have contributed to this mess. I just wanted him trimmed. My husband promises that he will be calm tomorrow. He insists on going, but I'm scared. I asked if I should come and he didn't want me to. I will let everyone know how it goes. I just told him to be the bigger person. |

| I'm very sorry you have made such a bad experience! The hair will grow back eventually but such a deep wound should definitely not have happened. I totally agree with someone that suggested earlier that you should try to put this guy out of business. Spread the word! |

| I am so sorry your little guy went through this, I hope he feels better today. I think I would be sitting in jail if this happened to any of my babies. |
