I have been watching this thread and thought I would say something.

First of all kelly, I am sure your baby is gorgeous and you should be one proud mom!!!!

I personally love the different colors of yorkies. I love Dinky's colors, they are so rich and beautiful!!

Darla is so adorable!! In the one picture she lookes like a beautiful purebred black yorkie!!

I am probably going to get nailed for this but I love the colors that are considered a huge mistake or a "genetic mutation." I love love love chocolate yorkies. I would love to have a chocolate yorkie. They are so beautiful and they are healthy like any other yorkie so why not breed them?? Health is the most important thing so if they are no health issues then why can't there be chocolate yorkies that are bred? Sure the standard only calls for a certain color now but that is how alot of breeds started out. Just look at the parti yorkie. I believe it is only a matter of time before the standard changes. AKC already accepts parti and chocolate yorkies, sure they have to be approved first and are still not allowed to be shown, but it is only a matter of time before they are. JMO

i love the chocolates also and the little blue baby someone posted here definatley cought my eye i would love to have either colour personally myself! but i wouldn't breed specifically fo those colours.

I chose Ginger because of the way she snuggled into me when I picked her up the VERY FIRST TIME. I knew she was large, breeder told me he thought she'd be about 10 lbs, and not standard, but I fell in love...

Enjoy your new baby, I'm looking forward to hearing all about him/her and seeing pics of him/her growing up!

Is your human up to standard? Ours is much OVER the standard weight. Her hair is OK on a good day but it gets very knotty and needs to be brushed daily, its so annoying...and the mats!!!! grrrrrr...and her SKIN!! It gets so oily, we have to buy her special cleanser to keep it from breaking out!!

Sometimes when she is sad or even really happy she cries, is this normal or should I take her to the doctors?? And somedays she eats to little and the next day she eats waaaaaay too much, we are thinking of putting her on new people food. She was housebroken when we got her..thank god!!

I do feel better. I have to admit I had my heart set on a tan and black but after seeing this pretty little girl Friday, she was sooooo sweet. I was holding her (I get her this week) and she was fidgiting so my fiance's mom said take her outside and let her pee. I took her outside and put her on the ground. I was sooo scared an animal would get her but she finally went pee. She is sooo smart. She will be 7 weeks the end of this week. I can't wait to get her.

They should already have some mark. Puppies are born black with brown marks on top of eyes and legs... I never heard of a puppy completely black. It may be an anomaly.
