I have been watching this thread and thought I would say something.
First of all kelly, I am sure your baby is gorgeous and you should be one proud mom!!!!
I personally love the different colors of yorkies. I love Dinky's colors, they are so rich and beautiful!!
Darla is so adorable!! In the one picture she lookes like a beautiful purebred black yorkie!!
I am probably going to get nailed for this but I love the colors that are considered a huge mistake or a "genetic mutation." I love love love chocolate yorkies. I would love to have a chocolate yorkie. They are so beautiful and they are healthy like any other yorkie so why not breed them?? Health is the most important thing so if they are no health issues then why can't there be chocolate yorkies that are bred? Sure the standard only calls for a certain color now but that is how alot of breeds started out. Just look at the parti yorkie. I believe it is only a matter of time before the standard changes. AKC already accepts parti and chocolate yorkies, sure they have to be approved first and are still not allowed to be shown, but it is only a matter of time before they are. JMO |
