| Just caught up on this... WOW! Cheryl - sending prayers that it's only life that has caught up with you and nothing more. Patti - I took my girls with me to pick up Charlie. I wasn't sure about it but decided that I would be more relaxed and able to give Charlie all that he needed for the 3 hour ride home. It worked like a dream. We let the girls and Charlie meet on neutral territory and have a little romp. Then everyone was snapped into their car seats for the ride home. Charlie got to ride in the console seat between my daughter and I and was petted/groomed and fauned over the whole ride home. The girls were not interested and very happy to play thier favorite car game - "catch the air coming in the sun roof!" We stopped about an hour into the ride to let the pups stretch their legs and interact. The girls were fine with the new little guy because at that point I'm pretty sure they didn't get he was coming home with us and they are used to me paying attention to other dogs that we meet. Good Luck whatever you decide to do |

| Patti, you really are getting hives from all this? Wow! You poor thing. Hives suck! You can't have just one. Kinda like Lay's Tater Chips. Seriously, I wish there was some way we could help. I am still pounding the pavement trying to find a job here, so is Krysten, so there are no work schedules. But I hate the thoughts of a long drive. I drove about 10 fast round trips in in a few weeks time in March & Apr. when we moved back her to NE PA from SC. 1500+ miles each time. I am still cross-eyed from all the driving. Being X-eyed should help me get a job. LOL Judging from what I have seen, you must have 1 - 2 teeth and totally mismatched clothing, and about size 11 sneakers. LOLOL It appears that in order to get into management, you must have retained at least 4 of your teeth. I just feel bad that poor Chancie is going to think he has his forever home now, and he is going to get taken from there after he has started bonding with Kim. I would think for his sake, that since nothing has been heard from Cheryl, no matter what the reason, (praying, nothing bad did happen) isn't it Chancie we should be concerned about. He has no control over what will happen to him. People are in control and it should be Kim's priority to see that Chancie is placed asap so he doesn't have to go thru any more trauma. Who knows what he went thru b4 he arrived at the shelter. Patti is willing to great lengths and expense for Chancie which shows how concerned she is for this little guy and Kim should make the call to let Patti have him. Can anyone imagine the confusion and turmoil Chancie has been going thru - not understanding why all this is happening to him. I would go get him in a heartbeat, if I thought I could afford it. I'll bet alot of other YTer's would too, if they could, but it is Patti who is packed and gassed up (well, the cars gassed, I don't know about Patti) and sitting on pins & needles waiting go. She's got hives, for God's sake, over this. So, Kim, PLEASE let Chancie have his "chance" for a loving, caring forever family. There will always be Yorkies that need to be rescued, so Cheryl will still be able to rescue one if that is what she wants, but right now, it Chancie's life that needs to be taken care of. There, my soapbox is worn out and my coffee is done, so everyone say a little prayer that Patti will receive a call today to go save Chancie. |

hmmmm, not so sure now about leaving the girls home. IF I am abducted, I would like to take them with us! IF I do disappear on you guys, it WILL be because I was abducted, otherwise according to MapQuest, I am disappearing down I94 for 252 miles, then onto Route 80W for 35 miles until I hook up with I55 for another 252 miles, then onto I44 for 278miles/US 71 then finally at NQW A Street but according to mapquest there is no such address so the map is only taking me down the block from where the office is. Anyway when it all takes place, I am sure Kim will give me the directions to her place or whereever she chooses for us to meet. Will keep you posted when I leave, then unfortunately a 3 day silence before I return to Michigan BUT I have this idea. Once Chancie is with me, I will call Amber as I have no laptop. Amber can post all the news and I will keep her updated about our journey home.

I agree. At our shelter you only have like 72 hours to get them, or they go back up for adoption. It's whatever is in the best interest of the dog. | |

| I have been following this story for days but haven't posted after I thought Cheryl got him. Now Patti! Good luck Patti it is wonderful that you are taking this trip. If I were closer I would go with you for company. What a lucky pup he is to get a mommy like you. Drive safe and can't wait for your return trip to tell us all about the two of you meeting for the first time. God bless. |

| I just got my call from Kim And yes SnickersMom it was suppose to be that he was mine. I was next on the list after Cheryl, bag packed and ready to go, maps printed Short version: Tiffany (who is also a York Talker) had called & got in touch with Kim. She was moved ahead of me on the list Kim said but she can't go visit him until tomorrow. Kim said it was her decision to move Tiffany ahead of me for variious reasons. She said she hated to see me drive all that way & was so interested in seeing Chancie on a home visit so, Kim assured me if things with Tiffany did not go well, and IF she wasn't approved, I could start the drive. She was very apologetic and nice to me as she explaining she would prefer to have him settled locally so she could do home visits. She had to call my vet and reference to make sure I was a good Mom, she is done waiting on Cheryl, so he is ready to go. She knows about my fences and how spoiled mine are (through references) (He is still at her home & doing well and happy) She kept reassuring me how he was not unhappy and not in any danger and no longer scared. Guess I will post again when I hear from her tomorrow night, if not I am sure you guys will hear from Tiffany. bye
