| Alright you guys! Quit using the heat as an excuse not to walk those babies! It isn't hot at 6 or 6:30 in the morning. If I have to get up at that hour to go for a walk, the rest of you should have to get up, too!

| Hootie wakes me up every single morning between 5 and 6 to go on a walk!!!!!! If I just take her outside to potty without walking her and then get back in the bed, she won't let me go back to sleep. She will jump on my face, chew my hair, "dig" on my tummy...she is one crazy chick! At least someone makes my lazy butt get out of bed. I've definately been on time to work everyday since we got Hootie! |

| I walk Rose everyday and almost never miss a day. It's so much fun to watch her out there.

| How do you guys get away without walking your furbabies? Do they go on a pad? Buddy gets walked 4x a day. Hot or cold we are out there. He does not ever go in the house. At 6:00, 8:10 am before I leave, 5:30 when I get home and 10:00 pm. Each walk is at least 15min. The 5:30 one is 25mins. He get to visit all his buddies outside. They are all walking at that time. He loves to walk but in the heat he wants too but his body says lets go home. He wears a t-shirt under his fur lined coat in the very cold weather and I carry him so his feet do not get frozen. But outside he goes to potty. I have to say I envy you who do not have to get up in the freezing cold at 10:00pm and put on a coat, scarf, gloves and boots after being snuggled up under a down conforter watching TV. It is not easy! |

| I walk Cid, the 13 year old about a half mile and sometimes I have to carry him half way, breaks my heart to see him slowing down. Scooter needs a mile walk. SInce it has been so dang hot here in Texas, I hose them down pretty well before walking so they wont be so hot. Sam, the 10 week old will walk the half mile with Cidney and keeps up really well being as small as he is. |

| We dont take Maddie on walks everyday... I've been feeling guilty for it too. I just told my daughter the other day that we need to start making it a point to take her for daily walks. She loves to get out in the back yard and play like crazy...but she does need her walks too. |

| Maddie is potty trained to go outside too. We have a nice big fenced in yard. She gets out there and runs all around with my 2 year old and she has recently made friends with baby bunnies. The will chase each other around... its really cute. Last edited by DENISE517; 08-16-2006 at 10:05 AM. |

| To those who have their furbabies go outside, how old are they? and do they roam free the rest of the day or are they in a crate? I'm new here and only have my yorkie poo for a week, although she is 14 months old. Thanks |

| I walk Britney and Brooklyn three times a day (early morning, 5ish, and before bed), just around the block. Also, I try to take them to the park at least once every 3 days or so.

| I feel really rotten to say that Maddie has not been walked much at all lately. My leg is giving me problems from when I was in a car accident and I am not to walk the hills, and we live on a hill. So, in order to walk, I need to drive down the hill and park and then walk. It just seems like such a hassle. I wish we didn't live on a hill because I love to walk, and I guess I'll have to get back in the groove of things and maybe it would even help my leg. Maddie gets lots of exercise inside and out, but I know she loves her walks.
