Buddy gets walked 4x a day. Hot or cold we are out there. He does not
ever go in the house. At 6:00, 8:10 am before I leave, 5:30 when I get home
and 10:00 pm. Each walk is at least 15min. The 5:30 one is 25mins. He get
to visit all his buddies outside. They are all walking at that time. He loves
to walk but in the heat he wants too but his body says lets go home.
He wears a t-shirt under his fur lined coat in the very cold weather and I
carry him so his feet do not get frozen. But outside he goes to potty.
I have to say I envy you who do not have to get up in the freezing cold
at 10:00pm and put on a coat, scarf, gloves and boots after being snuggled
up under a down conforter watching TV. It is not easy!  |
Ginger goes outside too, but we have a fenced yard, so
lots of her pottying takes place there (with me jumping up and down on the enclosed porch trying to keep warm in the winter)
It makes it easy to be lazy which is why I try REALLY hard to walk her at least two times each day, usually anywhere from 15-45 minutes.
