hi i live in alabama and been looking for a yorkie for three years now but i sill havent found one and my best friend calls me a yorkie maniack im 12 i have 155.00 saved for one and that most all about me

Hi, My name is Kim. I live about 50 miles south of Chicago. My husband and I have two "kids" Jordan is 7 1/2 and Skeeter is 4. Skeeter is actually Jordan's neice. We lost Jordan's brother Jackson in March. At the end of this year, we would like to get one or two more. My husband wants two more so he can name them Crockett and Tubbs from Miami Vice.

Hello to all of you!

My name is Carrie and I'm from Missouri, I'm 28 years old, Self-Employed, not married and no children - for now my critters are my babies :) We got our Yorkie girl with lots of attitude on February 19th of this year. Her former owners were getting on in years and could no longer take care of her properly, so we were asked if we'd be interested and of course we were!! She's the sweetest little thing, getting over a pinched nerve right now, but she's more active, rambunctious and playful everyday. Her name is Kelli, and we believe she's between 8-10 years old. Her very first owners abused her, and we think she went through some neglect in her previous home :( She's our baby now though, and we love her to pieces!! She has a cat for an older brother, who NEVER liked other animals...but has been nothing but calm with her, it's actually astonishing to see! She chases him and sniffs him out everyday, and gives him kisses every now and then, it's adorable.

It's nice to meet all of you :)

I am Steve , 20 years old . My yorkie's name is Gazou . I have had a Collie for 15 years , she was a birthday present , she died few months ago .

I'm a newbie to the site!
 
I have two old yorkies Sam who is 11 and Duchess who is 7. Just trying to keep them healthy is a full time job anymore. Duchess has Addison's disease and is just regrowing all of her hair. Sam has an occasional seizure in his old age. They are still frisky and the joy of our life!!

I joined earlier this month and thus far have learned so much. Anytime, I am concerned or want info I just log on and it is great. We brought Lexi home five weeks ago :hug: . She is 13 wks this week; we love her to death. :luvu: I was a little hesitant to get her since my husband is in the air force and we are newly married; though we have know each other since childhood. My main concern was all the moving. We are currently in WA but will move to MISS in Aug. we just came from Fl in March. I would like to thank everyone for being so nice. I love this site, I think I am addicted...I log on everyday to look at new forums, just to see what is going on. :happyboun Thanks for all the help thus far. :)

Hi!! My name is Leticia and I'm from Southern California. I have a yorkie that's just over a year old named Lacy. I also have a yorkie/chihuahua mix named Cruz he's about 6 months old. I haveonly been a member of YT for almost a week and it's been great. I'm on the computer every chance I get. Everyone here is so nice and I'm glad to be a part of this yorkie community!! :D

I am not a "newbie" really. I joined this site a few years ago after getting my yorkie Rio.
I lost my password and just rejoined recently.I am responding to this post because on the first page i noticed alot of "locals" I am originally from Va Beach and moved to the outskirts of Richmond 8 yrs ago. Like the other person i too miss the beach. Small world isn't it?

Hi all I joined earlier this month when I got my first yorkie...Maximus...so far everyone has been GREAT!!!....everyone was great to help answer my question and gave lots of support when the vet said Maximus may have a collapsed trachea (he's only 11 weeks). I am still waiting the final results to see if he has a collapsed trachea or kennel cough (went to 2 diff. vets..got 2 diff. diagnoisis)..will know in 9 days if the meds don't work :( .....but enough of that everyone has treated Maximus as if he were there own. We (Maximus, Daddy and Me) live in Staten ISLAND, NY...and we love our Maximus very much...looking forward to sharing what I learn with you guys as well for all the help you've already given.

Hi everyone, I'm Nicole (23yrs old) and I joined back in Jan. I'm from Tennessee. I just got my first yorkie May 10, 2005. His name is Ramsey and today he is 10 weeks old. He is so sweet and full of energy. Hope to hear from you all soon!

I'm Tom. My wife an I are from Massachusetts and we just bought our first home and our first Yorkie in the same weekend. My wife Jaime had always wanted a Yorkie but never seemed to get one. She's had dogs all her life and her last two a, Llasa-poo and a Silky Terrier, still live with her folks. I promised her when we bought a house we could get a Yorkie and she started looking. After a few months of searching we just happened to find Maddie the week of our closing.

Maddie is three and a half months old now and about 4 pounds. The breeeder believes she'll get to about pounds when she's full grown. She's a bundle of energy and not at all yappy...yet. ;)

I'm more of the homework guy so you're likely to see me here more than her but once we get the internet access set up at home I'm sure she'll be in here too!

HI there, I"m not only new to the forum, but new to having Yorkies. We started getting females last year, have 6 with 1 heavily pregnant. On X-rays this morning we could definately see 5!! I can use all the advice you can give on birth as I never had dogs before. She's due in a week
