I just wanted to say that I am really enjoying reading everyone's bio's! This is a great board and everyone is so friendly here. I've learned so much and I don't even have my yorkie yet!

Hi I started last month as well with my son, He loves this site as much as we do. We live in Miami, Florida. I have two boys and have been married for 19 years. I am a teacher. I have had Pebbles for a month and a half and we absolutely adore her. I can;t wait to come home from work to see her. Everybody here has been so kind to us, answering all of our questions. Thanks for being an extended family/

Hello!

Hi everyone!

My name is Wendy and I joined the board not very long ago. My husband and I live in Wyoming Michigan and we have three Yorkies. A 1 1/2 year old Bridget, a one year old Gizmo (our little stud) and the newest addition Zaylee at just 10 weeks old. Just from that you can see that we have a very very busy household!! I'm very happy to have found this board and I hope to get to know everyone!

Krishna's Mom 05-02-2005 08:05 PM

Hi Everyone,
I'm pretty new here, too. I kept looking for training info and this site kept popping up, then I got caught up in the threads and so finally had to join.
My little guy was born Jan 21st, but I don't get to pick him up until the 19th of May. The wait is killing me!! It's probably obvious his name will be Krishna (Krishna is a blue-skinned god in Indian mythology so I though it would be a great name for a pup with a blue & tan coat). If he doesn't get here soon I will probably have spent as much in puppy toys and supplies as he will cost :)
I am without any babies right now so I am soooo looking forward to Krishna's arrival. In the meantime, I'm getting into Mom mode by worrying about the babies in everyone else's posts.

newbies where are you ??

I think I'm a newbie. I've been coming here since early April. I had been looking at this site and then Frankie was attacked and this is where I needed to be. It was kinda strange but I felt like I knew everyone. It felt like home.
Anyway, I'm a 42 year old mom. 4 kids. Josh is 25, married & 2 kids, Blake is 21 (almost) living in Las Vegas, Sharlie is 18, married to a Marine who is stationed in Iraq and she's expecting a baby in October & Bradley is 16, a Junior in high school. I have a wonderful manfriend. His name is Vern. We have a lot of fun together. I run a hearing aid office in small town in Oregon. I love my job. I love my client's. My payment from my client's for working on their hearing aids is that they are hearing better after they leave my office. It makes my day. I work totally on commission. It's kinda scary but well worth it. I love my Frankie to death. He has become a big part of my client's
lives. Life is just amazing with him in it.
I am so glad to have found this site. Life is good.

Hello!

I am new to Yorkie Talk; I just found the site last week and joined immediatly! I belong to a couple of other smaller yorkie boards, but was so excited to see the number of posts/threads/active members on YT. I don't have a yorkie yet, but hope to by the end of this month. I am going to look at a litter of yorkies May 15, and hope to be able to bring my new baby home that weekend or Memorial Day weekend. :D I am 22 and live in Central NY (state, not city). My boyfriend and I have a 9 mo. old cat named Theo, who would love a companion to play with (I hope!) I fell in love with the yorkie breed 3 or 4 years ago, and I've been seriously researching the breed and breeders for almost a year. Unfortunatly, I don't know any reputable breeder in my area, so I'll be traveling 5 hours to southern NJ to get a puppy. However, I feel it's well worth the drive.

I'm happy to be here. I love seeing photos of others' yorkies and have found some great information on the breed.

I'm also new

Hi everyone, I joined the site last week and I have really enjoyed it. I have 2 yorkies Peitie is 13 years, I recused him 1 year ago from a girl I work with she had him living outside only eating scraps when I got him he smelled so bad we had to roll the windows down in the car. He has now gained 1.5 lbs he is up to a whole 5 lbs. He has kidney problems but they are better now he gets good protien and not junk. He will always be my first love. I also have Kiki she is 3 we have had her about 3 months, she was also in an unhappy home, but is doing great now. She is the boss at our house, she loves to play and she likes to go hunting in the back yard. I'm married with 2 daughters 19 and 15, we live in Missouri. Thanks for all the wonderful information.

Kiki's Mom,
I think it is so great that you took in not one but two yorkies who needed better homes!
These are great little dogs and they deserve to live in loving homes where they will receive the same love that they give.
:good job:

Hello All....My name is Shelly I am 42 and I moved from Minnesota
to Arizona 4 years ago this August. I have been married for 26
years and have 4 children. Rachelle 25 and married who lives
in Fargo along with my 3 grand daughters, Josh 24 who lives
here with us, Christopher 21 who lives in Minnesota and Alyssa
12 who also lives here with us. Besides my kids I am also Mom
to a Black Lab named Max, a Chocolate Lab named Lucy, a
Dachshund named Oscar, 2 cats named Snickers and Mickey and
last but not least the love of my life and the crowned prince of
our home Teddy our Yorkie and newest addition who is 16 weeks
old. He is the first Yorkie we have ever owned and I am so happy
that I found this sight to help me through the first few weeks
that I had him. The information here is simply priceless! Teddy was
suppose to be my husbands dog. Too bad Teddy thought otherwise
and became a mama's boy instead. Pulling the experiences of so
many others on here has made training him almost a breeze. We
look forward to a long relationship with this board and thanks for
having us!

Trish 05-03-2005 11:20 AM

Hi everyone !!

I am very new - only joined a few days ago. My name is Trish [as you can tell from my username I have no imagination] ! I live in the UK and I am 37 years old and getting married next year to Bob. I work in a supermarket and Bob is a bus driver. We have a 16 year old son called Robert.

Our yorkie is Pip[2yrs], who was called Bouncer when we got him but I changed it. I just remembered when I read the reply from a fellow brit who had a yorkie called Bouncer! Bouncer is the name on his pedigree. He has a pedigree but is not registered with the kennel club.

This forum is great but I really should be studying. I study English with the Open University at home so study in my own time. As well as my yorkie I enjoy camping [with Pip of course], horse riding, reading, knitting and doing jigsaws. Bob is a tractor nut - he likes old vintage ones and his favourite is a fordson major.

I love to look at the pics and here about everyones yorkies. Thanks for being interested in hearing from newbies. :aimeeyork :wavey:
