ok.... think about it before responding harshly here...

When Josie is Returned... Because I truly believe she will be, I really do hope that you and your husband give that boy the reward.....

I know, I know.... What?? Reward the boy who gave her dog away??? Am I kidding??? NO! It took Balls for that boy to admit what happened... Had he not come forward... Where would you be??? He had to seriously have thought about how upset you all would be that he gave your dog away! But still called you! And if this child, teenager, young adult, whatever... lives on your street.... all the more reason to follow through with the reward. If you don't... he may NEVER go out on a limb again... and certainly not for you guys, God forbid you need his help ever again. And he will tell all of his friends how bogus the whole deal was! Which will jade them as well... Or he can be rewarded for doing the "right" thing and he can tell all of his buddies what great people you guys are and you'll have that story circulate through the neighborhood.... Your neighbors should know your dog... and after this... they will from the flyers... Hopefully! And if she ever gets out again.. they should bring her straight home! You know this boy will if he is left feeling good about it all... When its all over.... He needs a big thank you... No matter what his attitude... Kids get defensive! And no matter what his initial actions caused.... He called... and for that he needs to be rewarded...

I can't even imagine the audacity of her expecting ANY reward. She didn't find her and contact you...YOU had to contact HER and she's not exactly cooperating, now is she? How dare her give YOU conditions on the return of YOUR DOG!!!

Geez, I'm angry with you. Ya know, if I found someone's dog, I wouldn't dare ask for the reward! Just by me a Pepsi and we're square...

I am so glad that you found her! Bless her little furry heart she must be terrified without her mommy! Lots of prayers that your baby is back in your arms soon!! If I lived around there you know I would be pounding on that girl's door! Prayers coming your way, stay strong! Let us know the second she is back in your arms!

I know that everything will turn out okay, even though it's stressful, and Josie will be back where she belongs....in your arms!!

Give the cops the number and all the info you have including the husband's cell and work if he stupidly said where he works and nail them...........

omg this is insane!!!!!!!!!! i CANNOT believe she said that to yall. she wants to keep Josie!!! has she lost her mind?? she cant love dogs and think you'd be okay with her keeping your baby.. I hope it all works out soon and Josie is home, she'll be so glad to see you!!!!!!!!

What???? This girl is so not entitled to a cent of that reward... nor is her brother for that matter... Neither of them reported this to you!

I live two hours away.... I would be happy to drive over there and pay her a visit!!!! I am furious! What an awful excuce for a person!!! Have you called the Santa Barbra Police?? And given them the Case Number From your Local Dept????? Maybe they can go over and Talk with her??? Scare her a bit! Or better yet... Remove your dog from her custody!!

I agree... She asked for money in exchange for the return for your dog... That is a crime.... You could press charges... like now!

I'd contact the police again and inform them of the latest delopment! They should arrest her and remove your dog from her custody ASAP just based on her threats and demands....

I would prob get arrested if I lived anywhere near there. I would be stalking that ladies house. That is so blackmail. You'll have to forgive me I need anger management classes.

I just don't get how people can do this to other people. I do say THANK GOD that boy called in the middle of the night no matter what his motive was.

Well, if I understand the story right, the kid that called is not the brother of the person that has Josie now. It's a friend of his...or someone he knows. I think that THAT kid deserves some of the reward money. Because once he realized whose dog it was, he did do the right thing. But this woman has no right to be demanding money for her brother. SHe has no right to be demading anything. She's just lucky her butt is not sitting in jail right now. I don't know how I'd feel about giving that kid money...maybe, maybe not. But I do think so for the first kid.
