| Does your family ever make you feel bad about your baby??? Mine does, they think i am crazy This weekend we had a family reunion and my family that visited from california and oregon were acting like Tinkerbell was just any dog, they dont realize that she is a pet, more like another baby. They kept saying to buy her a cage and to put her outside they even told me that is gross to sleep with a dog Tinkerbell sleeps with me on the bed She was soooo afraid this weekend cause they kept screaming at her I was kinda ready for them to leave because of the way they were acting My brother has a 2 year old that picked Tinkerbell by her neck I was soooo furious Does anyone in your family act like this or think you are over doing it with your Yorkie. I love Tinkerbell sooo much I cant even imagine not having her

| My sister hates all dogs in general. But I think she is particularly nasty to Sissy. Most bigger dogs will just go away, but Sissy is a lover and a lap dog. So when you sit on the sofa, she jumps on the sofa, to the back of the sofa and over behind your head, where she will perch on your shoulder and kiss you. My sister has actually swated at her to get down and once sent Sissy flying. I was furious!!!! I don't care if you like animals or not, Sissy can get really hurt from her actions, but it is also downright cruel. I'm sure she would say that I should lock up Sissy since I know she doesn't like dogs, but this is Sissy's house and she is not just a dog or just a pet - she is my baby. I would rather my sister not come over!!! So, yes I feel your pain.

| Its been mentioned on here plenty of times that not all people are dog people, but the way your family was acting was plain out wrong. I would've snapped on them. What did they yell at your dog for? Was she being disobedient? If not, then they had no right too. And who cares if you let your dog sleep in your bed...your dog is probably cleaner than most people!! As for the 2yr old, he probably doesn't know better, I'm sure of it. Dont get mad w/ him, just correct him and if he's going to be w/ your baby, supervise very closely. If no one teaches him to be gentle, he'll never know. Also, remember no dog should be treated like that, even if it is just "any dog" (which is like saying someone is just anyone, no one special). Next time if you can, just go to the family reunion for a couple of hours maybe, or have someone stay w/ Tinkerbell. If you can, try not to bring her. That way you'll save the anger, fustration and heartbreak. Sorry your family was soo rude |

| OMG!!! I would have put EVERYBODY out and told them where the nearest hotel/motels were. You are to be commended. I have absolutely NO tolerance for such ignorance. |

| Your family was very rude to you and your dog. My family is very understanding towards dog people because many of them have small dogs themselves

| If it was in your house then I can't see that it was any of their business. As for sleeping with them, there are people that sleep with huge dogs. Maybe they say those things just to get a rise out of you. As for them yelling at her, I would have been pissed off too, and I might have told them "I wouldn't yell at your kids so please don't yell at my dog". But on the other hand I would not allow my dog to scratch at their legs. |

LOL...Maddie does that too and I thought it was "her" thing until I read about Sissy! Maybe theyre related! LOL Micaela...I'm so sorry you and Tinkerbell had a rotten weekend! Your family had no right acting the way they did and I can't understand anyone, even if they don't normally like dogs, not falling in love with a Yorkie...and especially when it's in the family! Hugs to you and Tinkerbell! I'm sure besides being scared...Tinkerbell felt sad too. Our babies are used to positive attention!

| If i go to other people's houses, i respect their wishes, unless they ask me to bring the girls. A lot of our friends are crazy over them. Most of the time i leave the girls at home, when we go visiting people outside of our family. My family all adore the girls, and they all spoil them rotten, they are allowed to do as they please in my brothers house, who is not even really a small dog person, but he knows we treat them as if they were our kids, and he treats them accordingly. Ofcourse i keep them under control while we there, but he tells me to "leave the kids" they are not doing anything. IMO, your family was just down right rude, your little girl was in HER own house, so who are they to scream at her? I would have flipped!! Nobody has the right to do that to her, she is YOUR baby and if they can not accept that, i would not allow her any more contact with them. A 2 year old picking her up by her neck? That would have been the last straw for me! Where were her parents to watch her?

| If my family came over with that attitude and tried to disipline my baby and his soon to be brother or even tell me how to run my family....I would immediatly kick them out and tell them if they ever want to come back they had better show some respect towards my family and our furbabies.

| My husband makes fun of me sometimes, but all in fun. He's just as guilty...aways kissing Trixie and talking to her all funny too. As for the rest of the family...they are just as guilty of doing the same with their dogs. |
