YT 3000 Club Member | I think your family is jealous about your dog maybe, I love my dog more than people most days, they love you no matter what. I think they were very mean giving you a hard time. |

| My 17 year old son is extremely jealous of the dogs. He wasn't of the Mini Schnauzer or the first Yorkie, but I guess the 2nd Yorkie pushed him over the edge! LOL. He thinks I love the dogs more than him, etc, etc... (the way he's been acting, I wonder where he got that idea!!??) Maybe I should get him his own bully sticks!! tee hee hee Yes, people kind of roll their eyes when they see the carriers and pink blankies and a zillion toys... most people try to be polite. I don't care, though - if I want to love and spoil my babies, then so be it! omega |

So let me get this straight, this was at your moms house, and other family members (excluding your mom) were telling you to put her outside? If their unhappy w/ where their at, they should leave, not expect you to accomodate every one of their desires.

| I understand your issue with your family being rude/mean to your dog. My boyfriend's mother also always calls our BOY dog a SHE and twice I've heard her call him a "fag" which is unacceptable language no matter whom you are talking about.

| Some of my family like my animals, others go out of their way to tolerate them. I'd be lying if I said any of them understand the lengths I go to for my babies, but they do respect me. But it goes both ways. I never take them where they're uninvited. Also, when people visit who are not dog people, I have the dogs stay off the furniture and especially off the people. Just because it's our house, I feel I need to respect the comfort level of my visitors as well. I don't want to go to someone elses home and have their kids climbing all over me, it's the same in reverse and I get that. But, the way your family treated you was disrespectful and nasty. I feel bad for both you and Tinkerbell, and believe it's nobody's business where she sleeps (as long as it's not with them). I'm sure if you were handing out unwanted and nonsensical parenting advice they would've been offended. They should have kept their negative opinions to themselves. I hope Tinkerbell's feeling much better now that things have returned to normal! Ginger sends hugs! Oh, and BTW, ARCHIE...I tired of defending Ginger, (my little floppy eared teapot) some time ago, so I know how you feel. Just try to ignore them.

Lol.....well...you might want to mention to your boyfriend's mother that there has been numerous studies indicating that homosexual projections on others are usually manifested by one's own confusion on sexual preference.... Francie

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I can relate. My family members are not animal people. I'm the only one. No kids - just animals And I like it that way! It used to bother me (thier comments) but now? I don't even care. They make me happy and thats all that matters! |
