I think many dominant pupps will be not affectionate.
They will be very playful, funny, sweet...but just not cuddly.

My male yorkie was the dominant puppy on the lither.
I know my next dog going to be the submisive one....i think they are way more affectionate. (maybe i am wrong)

snickers is such a sweetheart... she is wild and crazy runs around and jumps on ppl but i kinda think that just might be a yorkie thing...
she follows me EVERYWHERE and when online or just sitting around i am guaranteed a friend for my lap

Reggie loves attention and affection, but do NOT try to get him to sleep on your lap or cuddle. He ends up acting like a squiggly 2 year old. He will cuddle with me when he doesn't feel good so I can always tell when something is wrong with him.

same with my boy.
He always lay near as...but never on our laps.
and if we try to hold him there, he actting like crasy.

Since I've had Gia she seems to be more affectionate toward my fiancé rather than me ( and I don't know why). It hurts my feeling too because I'm with her all day, I clean up after her, I feed her, I bathe her, and I'm the one who wakes up in the middle of the night & takes her out of her crate when it time to potty. If I try to pick her up & hold her she'll just whine until I put her down, but if Will picks her up she'll stay in his arms all day. Maybe because she can sense he's a male? I don't know I already know the next yorkie I get I want him or her to be more affectionate towards me (I still love Gia though).

and i am in the same situation as yours (feed him, walk with him 6 times a day, clean after him..) , so it's really hurts.

But there is nothing we can do...they just pick one person..with no reason for it.
One dog can pick you, the other to pic your bf..
I know one women that her 4 dog loves her way more than her hubby, but the 5 dog loves only her husband and even don't like her.
it's so wired...

Soon i am going to get anather dog, and my main fear that he will pick my hubby as well...(my male prefer men..have no idea why).

Some people say (i really don't sure if it's true or not), that if you come together to pick a puppy,the one that will chouse you..will be your dog.
So i am going to try that.

Once i saw a yorkie puppy, that chouse me over all the people in the room..and stayed only with me, set on my lap..i wanted to take him so much, but it was not possible

I have a boy and a girl..The girl is VERY HYPER!!! and bentley is more laid back..but i'd say they are pretty equal when it comes to affection

My yorkie is named Bentley too!! He has always been loving and affectionate. He likes for me to cradle him like a baby in my arms and rock him in the recliner. He'll go to sleep in 2 seconds if I do that. He has to be by my side at all times. Even when I'm on the computer he wants me to hold him.
I've heard the same thing about girls though but that's not going to keep me from getting one

I will say this - I get bombarded with kisses everyday and they don't leave my side for even a minute. They're VERY VERY attached and cuddly.

Cheri sleeps on my head/pillow at night and Chanel is by my side - they don't even sleep in one of the 4 baby beds they have. Where ever I am - so are they.

Even when they were small - both girls just seemed to always be velcro'd to my butt.

Same here, except Sadie sleeps curled up under my armpit (PU! LOL) and Lillie is our newest addition...she sleeps in her crate.....for right now

I wanted a lap dog, when I got my Chewie. He is loving on his terms. He will lay right next to me and sleep touching me but he will not let me hold him in my lap. He is always near me and I know he wants me in his sight. But he isn't the lovie I had hoped for. But he is mine and here to stay. I had asked Sue about the difference and she has 6 and they are different because of each dogs personality, not because of their sex?
