| had to share this Got my yard fenced yesterday. Today tho, I put Kizzy in her big cage I use to put her in when she was little to play outside in. It has the pull out tray in the bottom so today i filled the tray with water then I put lots of ice in it and she had fun. Someone had mentioned this in another thread this week. She really doesnt like getting her feet wet but she had to, to get to the ice. The cage doesnt sit level so she would try to keep her feet out of the water and take that right front paw to drag the ice out of the water and I was shocked at that last picture. Just as I was about to walk away with my camera, she looked up and (look at the ice cube in her mouth,) just looking at me like, wow if you want a picture of me with ice , here ya go. lol But I am so happy we got the yard fenced and I know she is gonna love being able to go outside without a leash and harness now. Now to talk hubby into letting me get her a sister to play out with. . He won't tho. not to change subject but I hope others grass looks better than ours. We havent had rain here in somewhere about 2 months other than a 5 min shower 2 or 3 times. Our grass, plants and everything outside is dying and its been in high 90s for so long and heat index over 100 the last few days. I am praying for rain soon.

We finally got some rain but it was terribly dry and brown here. I haven't mowed the lawn in at least 6 weeks.

Very Cute!! When I have Snickers outside with me, I fill up a big bowl of water & ice cubes. He will actually stick his entire face in to get the cubes...like bobbing for apples. It cracks us up!

i'm in al here also it's super hot and dry nobody can get hay for their cattle or horses and the pond we have been trying to dig out has dried completely up it's looks like a hard cracked desert in the bottom of it which stems from natural underground creeks . i wish it would just flood for a day or so too cool things off and get it all back to normal. it too hot for the dogs to go out and play for any amount of time if they do go out with us i wet them down to cool them off a little.

We have another problem: it's hot and humid (yesterday 91%!) Our lawn looks great and grows like crazy so we have to mow it every week. Buuuut... the mosquitos are eating us alive and it's hard to breath out there. As soon as you come out of the door you break into sweat and never dry off. I'm taking 3 to 5 cold showers every day (and that's not because hubby is soooo sexy !) I'd like to try the ice cube game with Mitzi I just have to find the right 'bathtub'. Kizzy is one cuuuuutie!

Rain Mitzi's mom must live by me. It has rained every day and the grass is green but the mosquitoes are awful, I'm still using puppy papers because I don't want her to get heartworms or itchy and it is sooo hot and humid. The ice cubes seemed to be a big hit, though. Donna
