| Is something wrong? Tiffany has a place on her tummy where her stitches were taken out. It is a bump kinda.... About the size of a dime and looks like it has lots of junk inside of it. I called the vet yesterday and she said it was probably the inside stitches trying to come out, that it shouldnt be anything to worry about. Well I am worried. She doesnt act like it is bothering her.. and is eating and drinking fine. What do you think?

| Not an expert, but doesn't sound quite right to me. Is it very red, warm to the touch, is there any odor. Those are all signs that there might be an infection.....

| That happened with one of my cats... They used internal sutures that were supposed to dissolve. The knot didn't dissolve all the way though and her body eventually pushed it to the surface. It wasn't that big of a spot though and the fact that it looks like there's junk in it would concern me (but that could just be the stitch you're seeing). If it seems to get any worse I'd probably call again and see if they'd want to check it out. Hopefully they wouldn't charge for an office visit 'cuz it's more or less follow up... |

| Wash your hands and see by very lightly pressing from the outside of the area to incision site if there is any drainage. Does it feel soft or hard. Is it warm/hot to the touch. Take her temp also to check for fever. All of these together will come to a decision about what should be done for now.

| I have to say that I agree with the Vet. I think its just an enternal stitch. As long as it doesn't get a fever in that area, and she keep up normal activity she should be fine! Best of luck!
