| ACK papers not in yet but Gia is ready to come home I just got this email from my breeder Gia will be here next friday but as of yet her ACK papers haven't come back yet. What should I do? Have her send her and then wait unill she gets the paper work and send it to me, or should i wait untill she gets the papers to send Gia? (even though I want her so bad) Here's the email she sent me Ok, Just double checking since this note didnt say for sure -which day is she going? Friday? I'll send her papers, shot record, food, etc with her in the plastic envelope on the crate. I hope AKC gets her papers here by then. I sent for them a couple of weeks ago and they are usually slow, so I'm hoping they will be in time. She is so little and cute- she's one you can carry shopping in your purse and will probably carry her everywhere. I dont let them run on the grass much - too little. I left them out with their mom in the play pen today to get some sun and play. I will definitely want some pictures from you when she grows a little bit. |

| I personnally would wait until she gets the papers. I have heard of this happening to too many people. You could tell her when you get the papers you'll pay ??? She probably wouldn't go for that. Also, it probably all depends on how busy AKC is I suppose, but I've never had to wait more than 2 full weeks for the papers. Does anyone else remember how long they've had to wait on them? Hope everything works out for you and your new baby...

I didn't get Sadie's papers right away either. However, I have become friends with the breeder and she only lives about 30 minutes away. She is a procrastinator (sp?). I just kept asking her if she sent them out yet...Finally she did...Then they sat in my house for months till I decided what color Sadie was If you are going to e-mail AKC I would think you would need the breeders kennel name (or breeding name) and the AKC name of the pups parents. You could ask AKC and I'm sure they would tell you what you would need to get from the breeder.. Good Luck

| This is the email I'm going to send my breeder (I hope I don't shouldlike a pain in the A**) Hello Lisa, Yeah Friday the 14th (sorry about not putting it in).I noticed AKC has a web site with a phone number maybe I can give them a call and check on the status of her paper work. I just need the information you used when you filed the paperwork. I made her a vet appointment for the 14th at 3:30 just so my veterinarian can become familiar with her and she could become familiar with her. Those AKC papers are really important though hopefully I will be able to get some answers, if anything maybe we could write up a contract or something if the papers don't arrive by next Friday. What do you think? ( I don't want you to think I;m a mean person or anything I'm just trying to take all the proper precautions).Get back to me, talk to you later Candy (How do you think it sounds) |

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | if they submit them through the internet it only takes like 2 weeks but if they mail them in it can take up to 6 weeks or so i've heard it just all depends when she sent them off and it is a good idea to get a contract and get the parents registration # to if she won't give you a contract and won't give you reg # i would be hesitant to take the puppy without the papers!

| My first yorkie I had to wait for papers. I rec'd them within a couple of weeks after purchase. My second yorkie I rec'd them when I picked up the puppy. I think your email was good. Get something in writing. She seems pretty trustworthy since you have paid her and she has been holding your puppy while it matures. |

| Actually....all registration can be easily done online by the breeder. No paper needed. As litter owner she can now go into the registered litter page online and add your name, address, email-addy etc as the new puppy owner, note the limited/full and AKC will send the info directly to your e-mail and you can then register your pup immediately online. I personally do not release registration until I recieve certification of spay/neuter at 6 months...
