| GPS for dogs????? Hey everyone- I am sure everyone knows our story by now. We lost our little Mia for 3 days, & finally found her today....THANK GOD!!! Now we are going to get her microchipped, but the way Mia responded to people when she was lost (not coming to them... running away from people, even my husband when he spotted her) I am wondering if there is something out there that has a tracking device????? I just don't want this to every happen to us again, & the microchip would be great if she would go to other people, but she has proven that's not what she does in this kind of situation. We will definitely do the microchip just as a precautionary measure. I just wondered if there is such a thing as GPS for dogs out there. Thanks & any info would be appreciated!!! |

| Hi there, There are collars out there that have a GPS device attached to the collar that you can get. Here is an attachement as to how they look http://www.environmental-studies.de/...lar/dog-1.html They are a little bulky so I am not sure how comfortable they would be for a small dog. Good luck and I am happy to hear that you got Mia back, I can only imagine how scarred you must have been. Maybe you even want to consider enrolling her to a dog class where she will get used to respond to people so that she won't run away. Anita |

| This article says it weighs five ounces, but is designed to fit onto the collars of medium and large dogs. http://www.cnet.com/4520-10602_1-5618893-1.html

| I am so glad you found her! I saw the COOLest collar advertised in the Hollywood Dog magazine. It has built in 2 way radio, GPRS Tracking system, Auto-LED light for night time and Call back system for lost dogs. Its called the Hear Now collar and this is their website: http://www.thehearnow.com/
