Thats exactly it you don't know if they will or will not take care of your dog. We look at this situation from totally different views and it is one of those things that you need to trust your instinct and do what you think is best.

Locking a Yorkie away in a garage all day with only 2 mere hours of human contact is wrong. I would hire a professional trainer and work with my Yorkie on a daily basis and be consistent. If all else failed, I'd allow a close family member to adopt him so that I could visit him all the time. But I would never lock him or her in a garage or any other room all alone and only give them 2 hours of my time a day. That's just cruel in my opinion.

I agree with you. Everyone is making it sound like this guys just wants to lock his yorkie up and throw away the key. All he is suggesting is a to compromise having his baby and his yorkie together in the same house. Everyone is attacking him and saying "you want to lock your yorkie in the garage and see him 2 hrs a day", I'm sure he will see his yorkie more than that otherwise he would not of started this topic.

Its like this, Im not pointing fingers im just stating a fact, If u know u cant take care of a child or an animal, you shouldnt have one to begin with. But this is 2006 and people don't think about these things. People give children up for adoption for various reasons just like animals ALL THE TIME, It's just how the world works nowa days. I think when she is ready she will make a good decision whatever that maybe for the dog, and for her family. We are not here to Judge, we are here to help and to give advice.

No one is being unkind - HE stated he would spend about 2 hours with his yorkie if he used the garage.

Everyone is giving suggestions and offering help. We all love dogs here and unless the garage is an actual part of the house - leaving a yorkie out in one alone isn't the way to go.

Re-homning a dog isn't a BAD thing - it just means he loves his dog enough to let him go if it comes to that.

I havent attacked him by saying I think he should rehome his yorkie rather than keeping him in a garrage all the time. I dont see that anyone else has attacked him either. His question was can I keep my yorkie in the garrage and people are giving there opinions on it.
