| I took our yorkie Bella for her first grooming appt. She looks more like a Schnauzer than a yorkie haha. but she was starting to mat and she has a cottony coat or rather does not anymore. I need to get a comb for when her hair comes back and have no idea how to pick one can anyone help me? I didnt even recognize my own dog when I picked her up she didnt even look the same and I could see her eyes haha. shes been trying her best to get that bow out of her hair. If I can figure out how to post pics I will post pics of her haircut. |

YT Addict | @skellington Had the same cut for my Gizzy except thst I kept his hair even longer. I love their long hair and don't like that schnauzer look either That happened to us once and that was the last time he went to the groomer! It's a great bonding experience too when you do it yourself or with the hubby. Your grooming looks great!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | On staying with the dog while its being groomed: depends on the dog. I stayed for the first part of Tallulah's first grooming to take pictures and she kept wanting to come to me. When I moved away where she couldn't see me, she settled down and let the groomer do her job. In T's case, I now wait in the main part of the shop while she's being groomed for her own safety. |

| Like many of the others, Apple & Buzz have short bodies (#7 blade), w/hair left on legs/skirt/face...I really like the full grown out coats, but omg'sh, this is the easiest haircut to keep groomed... |

| I groom mine myself because I have heard far too many bad groomer stories. I figure it can't be that hard, and I get better each time I groom them. It really doesn't take much I usually only cut their hair in the summer when they get too hot. I enjoy watching their hair grow out over winter, so they only get sanitary trims (butts, stomachs and privates) during the winter to stay clean. Here are some pictures of Couver's last hair cut in June. Sorry they are so blurry, I took them with my old iPhone.

| I started getting Spunky groomed at about 10 weeks He wasn't thrilled, of course, but they all have to learn that being beautiful takes work (for me, too!!) I tried to let his ears get long and the started to tip over rather than stand up, so we started clipping to stop that. We keep him in a pretty round face with longish hair on his back to about his legs, which we leave a little fuzzy. We do trim his feet so they don't get too wild. He has wavy hair, not straight, but he's drop dead adorable. (no prejudice here) |
