| ![]() I think I already responded to this post, but I'd have to say my Jack is the best dog I've ever had. He weighs a whopping 16.4 lbs. I treat him like he's my baby too. He's spoiled rotten and has his mommy wrapped around his little paw! ![]()

| ![]() My princess is 9 months old and wieghs 9.6 pounds. I was so suprised when they said she wieghed that much I had them re-wiegh her. And she is so long my hubby says he thinks she is part duschound. But we have the paper work and she looks like her dad. The breeder had both mom and dad. But I was also told she would only get up to 6 pounds at the most. And she isnt done growing. But I am glad she is bigger the vet said she is healthy and not over wieght, and siad she most likely wont have any medical problems being so big. The vet also said she is a real yorkie. Just thought I would share, I got a big yorkie too. Just wondering how much bigger she may get. ![]() |

Accually, Nobody can really tell you how big the pup will get. Just because parents are small, or pup is small at birth dont accually mean that the puppy will be small at full size. Genetics work in weird ways. lol | |

haha Yup! He was fat to begin with, but even if he had been a decent weight he STILL would have been a gaint!

| ![]() I wanted to read all the post before I posted and I thot I was going to post about the biggest Yorkie. LOL I met a man looking for a playmate for his Yorkie who weighs 25 lbs. My biggest dogs are only 11 lbs. I'm not sure they would be big enough to be a proper companion for one that size. I have to say that I joined Yorkie Talk in 2005 too and this forum seems to have changed an awful lot since my Pirogue started getting big. I was chewed out for his size and he was about 8 lbs at that time. In the last year or so I have been chewed out for breeding a male who throws tinies. I have sizes from 11 lbs down to 2 little males that the puppy weight chart is predicting to be 2 1/2 lbs when they are fully grown. This mean they may be close to 3 lbs when they are fully grown. I have been keeping track of the weights of my puppies to see how accurate the chart is when compared to my lines. It is pretty accurate. When Pirogue started getting too big to breed to my females, I started looking for a female more his size. It took me 2 years to find one his size. Now I breed big Yorkies for families with small children that want a Yorkie but don't want to worry about their children hurting a small one. My smaller studs are 4 lbs and 4.4 lbs and produce tinies to 8 lbs depending on the mother and genetics. I have the 2 tiny boys from the 4.4 male and a 6 lb mother. I love to hold Pirogue but it takes 3 of the tinies to equal his size in my arms. LOL It is much easier to hold one Pirogue vs 3 - 3 lb dogs. Love is love and it comes in all sizes and colors. | ![]() Our 11 1/2 mo old Yorkie is 11 lbs 2 oz. In the Denveryorkie.com group there is one that's 22 lbs. so your's is no where near the biggest Yorkie out there. I'm sure you were kidding but no Yorkie is a Mutant.... there's just more of him to love. John |
