| ![]() It is refreshing to read about the larger Yorkie. Our 2yr old is AKC and 16lbs. She was the odd ball in the liter, thank goodness! We have the best of both worlds, an 8lb 11 yr old Yorkie and a 2 yr old, hefty! I am asked wherever I go with both Yorkies, what breed is the large one? ha A while back I read where one YT member said she tells folks her larger Yorkie is a Clydesdale Yorkie... I have borrowed that many times and it works! The more to love... |

| ![]() I go through the same thing with my Mia. She's almost 2 and weighs 16 pounds. We love every ounce on that little chubby body. I have to continually tell people that Yorkies come in bigger sizes too. Kobe, on the other hand, weighs 10 pounds.

YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() I am right there with you when it comes to my Romeo. He's 15 1/2 lbs and I always get the usual "is he purebred?". Romeo too is AKC registered. Like other parents with "large" Yorkies I am beginning to believe that large is normal.
