| Nightmare Morning I am devastated. My son's fiance is a dog groomer. SHe is the most fabulous groomer in the world, unfortunately she lives 5 hours away. Since I haven't been able to have my two little 8 month old girls groomed since January, I had no choice but to go to the local groomer, which came highly recommended by neighbors. SHE SHAVED DOWN MY GIRLS!!!!!!! I'm talking shaved down. I cried all the way home and am still crying........ They are so horrible looking. I explained what I wanted before dropping them off and was given nods and okay and came back to shaved dogs. They have no fur. They look like Jack Russells. So......how long will it take for them to look normal again. I just can't believe it. Sorry if this rambles, I'm just devastated. |

| OH my! Yikes! I hate hearing this. I won't take long for them to get long enough to look normal. If it makes you feel better, I came home from work one afternoon and found my husband giving our yorkie a homemade haircut!!!! He said that he did not see any sense in spending money at the groomers when he could do it himself. Hobbs looked SO funny. I just had to laugh. Look on the bright side, consider your girls having a "summer" haircut! They will be nice and cool this summer, and by the time their coat gets longer, it will be winter time again!!!!!!!! Who knows, you may grow to like it. |

| I am soo sorry. But it will grow back. It may take a few monthes, but it will. My ex groomer did that to my Luigi and he looked like a chiahua for about 2 monthes! After I got over being upset, I would look at him and just laugh and smile! Here is a pic of him of it will make you feel any better! She didn't cut Brasco quite as short, but he was really short too. http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y17...t=luigi334.jpg But here they are after about 4 monthes of growing! http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y17...omigday004.jpg So sorry you are upset, but trust me...it will grow back!!!! And welcome to YT!!!!!!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | That's terible! What don't they understand when you tell them you DON'T want them shaved. I have only had Cali groomed 2 times in the 8 1/2 months that I have had her and the groomer use to own and show Yorkies so she knows I am growing her out. When Cali had surgery a few months ago the shaved her a lot and chopped off her hair on the sides. It does grow pretty quick so try and enjoy the no grooming for awhile.

| Oh I am so sorry for you! I had a groomer do the exact same thing to Gracie and I really feel your pain. Like everyone else has already said, it will grow out. In the meantime, dresses help a lot! |

| It seems to me that you almost have to know what "blade" you want your groomer to use... so they don't go crazy with the cuts. You'll have to wait a few months, but your two little girls hair will grow back. Hopefully you can find a groomer you trust... (sometimes it takes time.. and a few "not quite right" haircuts). Best of luck with your new chihuahuas (just kidding!! ).

I had a similar experience this weekend, and I even had my fiance' take a picture with him to the groomers. Georgie looks something like Luigi now just more full in the face. I just call him my naked little boy. It's chilly today so he hasn't been outside much poor baby.

| I am sooo sorry about your experience I feel your pain. Georgie went on Saturday and looks naked now!!! I am going to either go to someone else or take him back in a month and just show her how I want him to look. I think it will take a month or so for him to have the cut I want.
