Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() I would try the small fencing but that won't stop her big dog from getting in your yard. I would try one more time to discuss a solution that works for both of you explaining what happened last night, and tell her if you can't work out an agreeable solution you have no alternative but to take the trees down in order to protect your dog.

| ![]() one other thing you can do is tell your neighbor to keep her big dog out of your yard and see if she still thinks the trees are that important when she cant' find a suitable way to do it either or maybe you could get lattice for the area. if you put a strip at the top of the fence you already have and then put lattice panels around the trees maybe like someone else said just push the tree forward and it could still grow around the lattice. maybe one tree in front and one behind putting the strip at the top would make it look like it was supposed to be there Last edited by chele; 05-07-2006 at 09:56 AM. |

| ![]() I think the trees looked very ugly between those fences. I've never seen anything like that before. It just doesn't look right. Yes you should get rid of the trees. ![]() |

And I would just (as nicely as possible) explain what happened and that your concerned about your dog getting out, if they can't understand that then that's their problem, as pet owners themselves I'm sure they will understand. I don't know if you own or rent, if you rent you may want to clear it with the landolord first then they won't have anything to say about it. if you own, then I would imagine that you can do anything you want to your side of the fence.

| ![]() lol I still think the trees won't be as important if she has to find a way to keep her dog in her yard. but my husband says I can be spiteful and tricky. |

| ![]() Leave the tree and put an ex-pen type fence on your side connecting the two wooden fences.

| ![]() Tell them that you are going to put the fence up and they will just have to move there trees. Can they be moved? If so, offer to move them for them and pay for the fence urself. What do u think?

| ![]() be careful removing trees. my dad lives in runnemede nj and you need permission from the township to cut down trees or even move them. he removed some dead dangerous trees from his property and had to replace each one and hire some tree specialist to oversee the project. i would go around the trees with a plastic fence or lattice. you could even plant ivy at the botton if you think it looks bad. i used the plastic fence to block off the back of my garage. romeo was sneaking back there and tormenting neighbor dogs. i worry an unneutered lab could really hurt your baby figette. even just playing with her. even worse if she gets out she could get lost or hit by a car. yorkies like adventure. they luv to sneak out and explore. be careful sweetie. |
