Is my yorkie a YORKIE!

She is a beautiful baby!!!!!! I know you love her very much. I think she looks like a Yorkie Poo......sooooo cute. If you don't hear from the Breeder, then I would report her. Start saving your money, and get a rescue!!!!!

Oh, honey, I am so sorry someone has taken advantage of you. Especially with so much money at stake, but your baby is still very adorable. She does look like a mix, but I definitely see Yorkie in her also. We have a Yorkie-Poo, and he is awesome. We wouldn't trade him for the world. It took me a couple years to save up enough to get the two purebred Yorkies we have now. . . so I totally understand.

The important thing is that she's a great dog, and no matter what she's at least part of the breed you love. Also you never know; Yorkies coats change so much. . . maybe after a year or so your babies coat will change too, and she'll look more Yorkieish.

Keep us posted on the outcome with the breeder; truly I think she should at least give you some money back. . . And no, I wouldn't even consider giving her back either; she's part of your family. I just feel the breeder should compensate, and give you a pup with certain parentage (if you could even trust that.)

Pure yorkshire terriers are hypoallergenic (decreased tendency to provoke an allergic reaction). If the dog sheds fur it is not a yorkshire terrier. You may want to play with its fur a bit and see if some of the coat comes off. I think it looks like chihuahua, and those are ugly.

Hey my first Love for little doggys came from a chiuahua! My LiL Brownie was the loveliest young man, with Moe right close behind.....you may not think they look much but a chihuahua has allot to offer as well as they hold much inner beuty you cant even find in some people!

Gizmo2005- I see that you are new here but it's not nice to call any dog 'ugly'. I personally have never seen an ugly dog, they are all cute in their own way.

If you don't have anything nice to say please keep your comments to yourself.

I think your furbaby is adorable! Kirby is not a purebreed yorkie either and I woudn't trade him for anything. And you can always start saving again and get him a pure yorkie brother or sister.

You can always file a suit in small claims court to recoup some of your money, that's free to file and I'm sure you would win. I doubt the person would even show up and you would win by default, even if they did show up I'm sure you would still win because, unfortuantely I don't think your pup is purebreed and if it states that in your papers then they won't have a leg to stand on.

But I wouldn't get rid of your little baby just because its not a purebreed. They don't know their not purebreeds, nor do they care, and the love they give you is just the same!!

There are a lot of people on this forum that own a Chihuahua and they love them the same way they love their yorkies! I wouldnt feel nice if someone called one of my girls ugly! I don't have a Chi, but i sure think they are cute.

awww that wasn't very nice. I know you're new here, but you have to respect other peoples' dogs. There are a lot of members on here who have Chi's. and you implied that her dog is ugly...

Anyway, no, she doesn't look like a purebred. I'm so sorry you were cheated out of $900 I just have one thing to say...KARMA. But as long as you love her, that's all that matters.

THANK YOU everyone for your kind words!!! And if anyone out there thinks that I am so shallow that I would just throw my baby away they are wrong. I fell like I am the one who lucked out here, because if the breeder told me that she was a mix I never would have gone to see her! That would have been a big loss for me. She is the SMARTEST, MOST LOVEABLE PUP that I have ever had the privalige to own. I have a 9yr old westie also and he isn't even as smart as she is although I love him too. People have to understand that just cause a pup looks different that does not mean they should be dumped on. I have a 4yr old daughter and she is my daughter best friend! All of you out there that gave me your support, I am extremely grateful all others that are negative and have bad things to say keep your comments to yourself. I love my little baby and I am very glad to have her, PUREBRED OR NOT!!!!!!! meeshue
