| The area I live in here in Floirda dogs are not allowed anywhere but petstores and petsmart. They don't allow them in homedepot or lowes no where. But i am happy about that because there are some people that don't like dogs even small ones and I don't want anyone to feel uncomfy. I had a freind who was scared of all dogs, even tiny ones, she had a bad experience so when she would come over I would put my pup up untill she left sometimes people are just diffrent! |

| I am careful on where I take my little guy because I too live in Florida and even though the south Florida area is very dog trendy the area I live in is not. I have taken him with me when I run short errands - he LOVES the car. When ever he hears the keys he runs straight to the door and just sits and waits for me. A couple of the places I have taken him have been Lowes, Home Depot, Blockbuster, Drycleaners, etc... There are not ANY restaurants around here where I can bring him thats for sure. I do not have a bag for him yet - so i just hold him or he rides in the shopping cart - he loves that. No one has ever said anything to me except for last weekend when we went to the "outside" Melbourne Art Festival. We actually were asked to leave 2 times. One time by a police officer (which we ignored) and than a second time by some stupid old lady who had some tick up her butt. I just looked at her and said "You have got to be kidding me"? My yorkie is just sitting here minding his own business getting tons of looks and awhs and you want him to leave over the kids that are "allowed" here and are screaming, crying and grabbing art that they should not touch? Sounds like the art show has their priorities messed up. I, like many yorkie owners am a married with no kids yorkie owner and I have tons of money to spend at these events - you can rest assure I will not be going back. I choose to spend my money on my furbaby and where my furbaby is welcome. I mean come on he is 3lbs - are you that intimidated by a 3lb yorkie? ![]() The good thing about where we live is we are very close to the West Palm, Jupiter and Miami area and those areas are VERY VERY pet friendly. 2 weeks ago we went on a mini vacation with our boat and we stayed at a hotel that was pet friendly - it was a 5 star hotel that docked our boat outside on the intercoastal and even allowed my Murphy in the pool. Now that is cool!!! He loves the boat and the pool. He is already addicted to the vacations like his mommy is!!!

| I take Princess every where I go. She's three, and we haven't been asked to leave any stores. For the past year, she's been in a Pink Pet Stroller, so it's not like they can't see her. We love to shop, I'd be sad if we couldn't shop together.

| This reminds me of a funny story. Once I pretended to be blind to get a girlfriends Boxer into a restaurant. I put on her sunglasses and did my best Stevie Wonder head-rocking and wrapped his leash short around my hand. He was very well-mannered but hardly a seeing eye dog, and the manager was suspicious but what's he gonna do, accuse me of being able to see? So he let us in. She pretty much gave us away because she was laughing so much but they never said anything but gave us a very funny look on the way out. I don't think that would work with a Yorkie. But hey, you never know maybe there is a new program underway for seeing eye Yorkies??

| I've taken my two to our local Dairy Queen, but I think the 16 year old kids that work there could care less about any kind of food laws. They have gone to Toys R Us they didn't seem to mind. They are not allowed at any HS sporting event (outside). I guess this is becuase some people DON"T pick up after their dogs.

| I have seen a few people in the mall with their Yorkies, I guess we can thank Tinkerbell for that Ü Sweet Pea doesn't like that bag, but I didn't train her much a pup, Sebastian will stay in there all day. I think I am going to try to take them out more, probably one at time, I just feel guilty leaving one at home and taking the other. |

My nail place also allows little dogs. She just sits quietly in my lap and everyone loves seeing her. Our Lowes, Home Depot and several patio food courts allow dogs. She is head out of the purse in those places. Otherwise she has learned the word "hide" and she is quiet. She is cleaner than a lot of stuff people carry in their purses so I feel no quilt what so ever. No one has ever noticed her. | |

| Okay this is my question now after reading all the posts on this subject. Do all of you have bags for your pups or do any of you just carry them in? I usually carry mine because he is so small or he rides in the shopping carts. I am wondering if i should get a bag now. Do you think he would like it? Can anyone suggest any good ones to get or where to order them from?

LOLOLOLOL..... This is horrible to laugh about.....but omgggg, you are too funny! I should hit you for pretending to be blind! But hey...at least now with HIPPA, they are forbidden to ask what your disability is. So maybe Kirby can be a seeing eye dog as well. Or have you developed a new injury?
