| Yorkies and Softball I took Jasmine to my granddaughter's softball tournament Saturday morning. Jessie (my granddaughter is in highschool and is the catcher on her team. (They won the tournment) Jasmine was so good. I was so proud of her. She got lots of attention. All the kids just loved her and wanted to pet her and she doesn't mind at all. She just loves all the kids. That is probably because she is around my grandchildren all the time. Several of my grandchildren are very involved in summer ball, so I will be going to ballgames at least 5 nights of the week and usually on weekends. I won't want to leave my babies home by themselves everynight so I will take them with me to the games. They are both very good with people and will probably love it. I took Duffy with me last summer . He was just a puppy then. One woman said "Is that a Yorkie." I told her she was. She said she had one who was smaller and had very black hair. He was 1 year old. She said she couldn't believe how calm Jasmine was, as her's was very hyper and she couldn't take him out in a crowd like that. I can't believe she asked me if Jas was a Yorkie. Jasmine looks VERY much like a standard Yorkie is supposed to look. Her hair is still pretty silver at 10 months not black like she said her Yorkies was. Maybe that was the difference. Jasmine weighs 5 lbs which is also the standard. Most people who have a Yorkie should know what they look like. |

| You would think so, I have had people ask me what they were but none were yorkie owners. Congrats to your granddaughters softball team.

| Congrats on the tournament! Catcher's a hard one to play and I applaud them all the time! Skylar's 12 years old and plays first base..... she's hoping to play in high school too. Tatum has gone to all my daughter's softball games also since she was wee little. She is so well behaved there. I've also had people tell me that she is so calm "for a Yorkie". Don't know where their experiences have come from but that's just Tatum's usual nature. I've taught so many of the little kids the proper way to approach and "handle" one her size. A few of her favorites even feed her out of their hand (it's supper time usually so I have her food with me). She is so good with children. But oh! the dangers of the ballpark too...... one time Tatum found a huge piece of bubble gum on the ground. When I saw her chewing something, I opened her mouth and pulled out the biggest wad of gum - she already had it going down her throat too. Yuck! She gets watched super, super careful now when she walks the fence! And the people that I've seen bring huge, huge dogs there that they can't hardly even handle on the leash! My goodness, the kids around there are too precious to bring something that unreliable around! I've had to yank Tatum up a couple times and walk away when a huge hound has shown up. Otherwise, she has a wonderful time there!!

| IM so happy that Jasmine had fun and behave so well at yours granddaughter's game. Congratulations to your grandaughter for her win. Gucci behaves well also when I take her out, she is always quiet and stays by me. She is barker a home only, . Tatum's mom, so cool that your baby gets to go to the games with you also. |

| Jasmine is such a gorgeous dog so she should get the attention of all that are around her!! I haven't seen her lately, but she was sure cute at our get-together last October.

| Reuger was a very handsome fella also. They've probably changed a lot in the last few months since our get together. We'll have to have another. To bad we aren't coming up there for a softball game. My granddaughters play for Independence so we probably won't be playing at your town. |

| Bosslady - Never be surprised if anyone says, "Is that a Yorkie?" We have had too many threads describing how different these little dogs can be... (size, colors, cuts, ears, types of hair, etc. etc. etc.)..... Now listen to this --- my new neighbor walked up the street with a little Yorkie that looks exactly like mine - only a little smaller. I ran over to her and guess what the first question I asked her was? You guessed it - I asked, "Is that a Yorkie?" Well of course it was, and I knew that. So - sometimes we just have to ask anyway.... Carol Jean |
