| ![]() OR - we have a poll here on YT - that said that about 90% of the people polled let their little dogs sleep with them. Believe me, they never cry when they get to be with you. Just a thought! Carol Jean |

I know I would love that but she is so young and not potty trained at all. I worry that we would roll over into some fresh poop in the middle of the night! Plus my boyfriend is not into dogs in the bed. I don't mind though....she is my baby!

I had a yorkie poo. She was the smartest dog I have ever owned. She had the yorkie face and ears, but black cury hair. Her hair did not grow long, it grew tall. I grieve for all of my lost dogs, but she is the lone I will look for first when I go to collect them at the rainbow bridge.

Thank you. I hope tht you get as much joy fom yours as we did from ours. My daughters used to dress her in doll clothes and put her in a doll cradle and she would stay there until they came back for her. If they forgot about her she would cry to get out, yet it was a tiny doll be she could have gotten out, but she didn't because they had put her there. She just was soooooo incredibly smart.

| ![]() We keep Cooper in a playpen at night and when we are gone. He cried for 4 days till he finally knew that we were not going to pick him up . Now he is fine and never cries. |

| ![]() Here are some pics I took tonight of Daisy. She is only awake for about 2 hours a night so this is all I could get. She is up for about 45 min then eats, poops or plays then passes out for another 2-3 hours. Is this normal? I know she is a baby and she needs her sleep so I am sure this is OK but I just had to ask. Also I put a small heater by her bed (about 3 feet away) set at 70. I know I am supposed to keep her warm....Is it ok to do that? |

| ![]() in california, it's actually illegal to deliver or otherwise give away a puppy that is less than 8 weeks old. so regardless of whether or not the puppy is "ready" per the breeder, the breeder should not have let the puppy go just yet. in addition to being weaned, the mother and litter teaches the pup basic socialization skills that you will now have to compensate for. for feeding, i would definitely have food and water readily available at all times as well as nutrical on hand. for potty training, if she starts to go off the pad, then say NO and take her to the pad and tell her to GO POTTY. but it'll take a while. it can take a few weeks to start catching on and several months before she's more reliable at it. but be patient and be persistent. for night crying, keep in mind that she's very young and used to being around her mother and littermates. when she's by herself, she'll think she's being abandoned and it's natural for puppies to cry loudly when they are by themselves because they want their pack to find them by their cries. so even if you don't want her to sleep with you in bed, i would suggest having her in a bed or crate close to your bed so that she can see she's not by herself. that'll help with the crying. She's so cute!!! Last edited by hunniebunnie; 04-17-2006 at 11:37 PM. |

I work and I am out of the house from 8:45am to about 7:30pm. My boyfriend works nights and he stays with her until 3:00 she is alone for a while but I worked it out with one of our neighbors to come over thru out the day when we are not home. I hope Daisy is not at risk being home so young...... ![]() ![]()

| ![]() so long as you make sure she's eating, drinking, kept warm and kept away from the outside, i'm sure she'll be okay. a puppy that young is just needs a little more attention and care. it's good that she's not left alone too long during the day. good luck! |
