Yes you're on the right track as far as potty training just keep doing what you're doing and it takes time and patience dealing with the li'l ones and as far as for whining it will take her awhile to adjust...and oh yes every time she does it on the pad praise her "good girl" LOL and from time to time they have accidents hope this helps...
