How it is test it, with a blood test or stool sample?

It's a blood sample and they do it right there in the office ..so you know when you leave if your baby tested possitive or negative for it..

Thank you so much. Gucci has to go to the vet April 8 to have her PT test, I will ask the vet if he can also do this.

I bought Interceptor from Pet Meds. I asked my vet for a prescription with renewals because he wasn't carrying it anymore, only Heartguard which made Pixie ill. It was so easy plus Pet Meds remind me with an email when I need to renew. I ordered and faxed the prescription.

And it's really helped down here. Mine aren't out 99% of the time either, it's too hot down here usually, but fleas and mosquitoes get IN. If they get me, I figure they'll get theml, and heart worms can kill them.

I give heartguard to mine except during winter months. Scooby loves it.

Yes, we use heartguard.My dogs do not go out much but I have had to go after mosquitos inside the house that are looking for fresh blood.Cathy and Yoshi
