Can someone help me find a vet.... Ok, I am really upset about my vet visit yesterday. I recently purchased another yorkie, so now I have two. hehe. My older one Roxy is 4 months old and when I first took her they said she had mild roundworm so they gave her half a pill and some alabon. Well the second time I went in with her they gave her her shots and forgot to give her the other half of the roundworm medication. Yesterday as we are driving to the vet, Roxy vomits and there was a worm in her vomit!!!! I freaked out! It wasnt small either. When I got to the vet they told me that some receptionist who doesn't work there anymore overlooked the fact that she needed the rest of her worm medication. I am sooo upset. Also, the vet was telling me to bring Roxy in the next week for her shots, and I told her that they were due that day. Well she had to go back in and look and Roxy's records and then came back in and was like "oh you were right". What!?! She just doesnt seem all there. I live in Los Angeles, so if anyone on here does too, please give me some recommendations for a new vet.

It sounds like you are right to look for another vet, The current one has not exactly instilled confidence. I don't think you should have any problem finding one in LA. You might call some good yorkie breeders in the area and find out who they recommend. It would be great to get one who owns a yorkie! If there is a yorkie club or meet up group in the area, you might try them as well. Good luck!

My Coworkers told me about this place she takes her two spoiled shih tzu's .. Mid Valley Veterinary Hospital 17280 Saticoy Street Van Nuys, CA 91406 818-705-4585 Vet: Michael D. Pitt I haven't been there personally yet, but my co-worker says that the staff is friendly and helpful, and its not so expensive (compared to what i spent at the vet at studio city for Ginger's Ear infection!) .. don't go to the one in studio city called: Veterinary Medical Center in studio city the vets will see your pup for 2 minutes and then leave and never come back. you will wait in a room for 3 hours and then when they finally get your stuff ready they don't tell you anything about it.. they just hand it to you and tell you to pay 400 dollars! GRR lol sorry i'm so bitter!

vet Thanks so much!! I will give them a call. I went to Encino Veterinary Clinic and they are nice but not very thorough. It just seems like the vet doesnt know whats going on. If you go to the one in Van Nuys before I do, let me know how your experience was!
