It sounds like you are right to look for another vet, The current one has not exactly instilled confidence. I don't think you should have any problem finding one in LA. You might call some good yorkie breeders in the area and find out who they recommend. It would be great to get one who owns a yorkie! If there is a yorkie club or meet up group in the area, you might try them as well.
