| My husband and Loki are best friends. They are home together all day, they snuggle in the mornings, they play at lunchtime. He teaches Loki tricks while I'm at work and then shows them off when I get home. He still lets me feed him, brush him, and pick up the poop though. ![]() ETA: My dad who would NEVER let me get a dog because they are "animals" loves Loki like a grandchild and calls me to ask about him, even insists I let him babysit him rather than leave him home alone. Also, I think some men have an easier time with a boy yorkie.

| When I first started talking about getting a Yorkie, my husband was very against. He was going on about how yappy and nervous they tend to be. He did want to please me though so a few months later we got Twinkie. In the beginning he was a bit distant and now, 6 months later he says he cannot imagine his life without her. He bathes her, takes her out for long walks and is absolutely crazy about her. Of course Twinkie is NOT yappy or nervous and proved him completely wrong. I guess some guys need time to adjust and change their perspective about Yorkies.

| My husband is completely and entirely big time in love with our three adults. The puppies are a different story entirely. He is so in love with Chizzie's puppies that....... well...... I am afraid that maybe we have an even 1/2 dozen! |

| My boyfriend has said that if we get a small dog it had to be a Yorkie. His parents got one about 4 years ago and we both fell in love with him. After my boyfriend and I got our place together I kept bringing up the fact that I wanted to get our dog. He wasn't as into it as before. He works all the time and is busy. But I started looking and eventually found the perfect little girl. When I told him it was time to get her, he basically told me she was going to be my dog and that he didn't have time for one. Well that changed very quickly. lol He has called himself daddy, he plays with her all the time, and it is very cute watching him say goodbye to her before we leave. He does love her...now to work on convincing him that we need a playmate for her. |

| Well, let's just say, we are working on it, but he doesn't dislike the Yorkie, so we are doing good so far. |

| My husband had Mitzi already for 4 years when I met him. He raised her all alone from a tiny puppy. Mitzi was one of the main reasons why I married him because I thought if a man can take care of such a fragile little dog and loves her to pieces he can't be all bad. Best of all when he asked me to marry him he included Mitzi in his porposal: "Will you marry me? I'm ready to commit and you and Mitzi will be my life!" |

| My husband says he tolerates my yorkie, he has a love for bulldogs. We had a bulldog and a yorkie and they got along great. He spoiled his dog and I spoiled mine. He is used to a more layed back, lazy dog, and my yorkie has more spunk than his. But I can tell ya he has come along way with his relationship towards my yorkie. He tends to care more than he leds on.

| Years ago, when we got our first Yorkie, my husband was not interested in small dogs let alone ones with "prissy" hair... The only reason we ended up with a Yorkie was he found out they do not shed. He was however concerned that if anyone he knew found out we had a "prissy" dog, he would have to put a "rainbow" bumper sticker on his truck and he was not having any of that... Within 48 hours, my husband surprised me by stating he wanted not only another Yorkie but make it two! So, we will be picking up our two new babies in less then two weeks. The whole family is excited! |
