| Summer Cut? I know it's kinda of early to be thinking of a summer cut, but I just want to know how many yorkie yakkers give their yorkies summer cuts in the summer, or if they keep their coat the same length? Last summer teddy was still only 4 mths, and he hated going outside during the day cause it was soo hot. I'm wondering if he will react the same this summer? Also, do many of put little boots on their paws during the summer so their little paws don't burn up on the pavement? |

| I get Chachis hair cut real short. We keep him in a puppycut all the time,. Jewels' hair is grown out so I just have them shape her hair.

| My pup has been in a short cut all his life so far - I don't like the booties - all my dogs run all over the place (pavement and grass) with no problem all year. Carol Jean |

| Princess gets the Puppy Cut every Summer. It's to hot here, and she loves it. Her coat grows fast, so by Fall she has her full coat again.

| Josie's hair is just meduim, if there is such a thing! We keep it so she can still part in down the middle but the length does not go to the floor, only about to her knee, so it is easier to brush and keep clean. We put "summer" boots on her in the summer when she walks on the blacktop so it isn't too hot for her! Besides, I think they are too cute!

| I let Bailey grow out in the winter (cold here) and then the puppy cut in the spring, I had him cut last Thurs. and she really cut him short on his body, too short, actually. But he's so cuddly, he feels like velvet.

| We're all dog here - the hair grows on it's own and is groomed and brushed - but it's basically the same long hair all year round - and we certainly have all extremes in Iowa. I worried about the summer heat, but if they get too warm they want in the house. But my outdoor girl, Roxy, could care less about the extremes in temp. - I have to beg her to come in when it's cold or hot. It's in the low 50s today and she has been outside basically all day! As for boots, no time for that when there might be other dogs out or squirrels to chase. Yorkiesmiles |

| We usually give Stomper the puppy cut. Recently (eventhough it is not Summer!) I gave Stomper his first Schnauzer cut. My husband is not happy! He said Stomper looks like a wanta be Schnauzer! He doesn't look much like a yorkie anymore!
