| My favorite grooming "product" for a cotton coat is a pair of thinning shears. I have taken out half a coat and the dogs still had a full body of hair...the owner would comment that whatever shampoo I used sure made the hair lay down better...Heck, they were missing half their Yorkie!! LOL |

| Tiny has very nice silky coat. Not too thick at all. This allows me to keep his hair a good length without having to brush it every day(okay I'm lazy). Plus tangles come undown with a little bit of brushing and conditioner. I really love his coat! |

Is she from a local breeder? Jazzie was a (dare I say it?) pet store puppy. She came from a kennel in Kansas.

| I also like to shear off their chest and inside the legs - it helps a little with grooming and doesnt really show at all!

Thank you !! She's my heart and yes she came from a Breeder in Richmond Tx. who I don't refer out as she sells pretty much ALL her yorkies at 6 weeks old.... Which is how old Chanel was when we got her almost 4 years ago.....I still follow this lady's site....she now advertizes Teacups and has doubled her prices.....and believe me - she does NOT sell small yorkies - Chanel is over 10 lbs. but I LOVE her weight and she's perfect to me....and don't apologise for where you got Jazzie - we learn as we go !! 4 years ago I didn't know about puppy mills and pet stores either.... | |

| Just a little off topic, but if my 41/2 month old puppies hair is starting to part down her back on its own, is she a silky coat? Do the cotton coats do that? Thanks, Jessica |

| Both my yorkies hair parts. One has a cotton coat and one has a silk coat.. You will know its a coton coat if it is thick and it matts and gets tangled when you brush it . Otherwise if it brushes through easily it is a silk coat.
