Thanks for this lenghty post. It's nice to know as a moderator you see some of the things others do. I have to admit, I did something I wish I hadn't. It was a knee jerk reaction. I am stepping away for a little so that I can wipe my slate clean. I think that's a great idea. Thanks for brining it to my attention.

Kimberly, you and the other moderators should be thanked for doing the job you do. "Moderator" is a good name for you, as you must try to keep things on an even keel, and keep us from hurting others feelings and saying things we shouldn't.

I didn't read what was the problem, because I usually miss that sort of thing living on the west coast. By the time I get on the computer, everything is over and done with. Which is probably just as well.

Everyone probably knows by now that I am 74 years old. I keep saying I am getting older, but not necessarily wiser. But I do try to ignore posts that seem to be ones that could become something we could get into arguments over. Maybe I have gotten that much wiser.

I too have been so angry at the rudeness lately..
I think it is totally uncalled for.
New members are getting run off because of this.
This forums is for helping those who need it and getting help in return.
I really hope to see a change in things and hope everyone will remember just because you believe something, doesn't mean everyone believes the same way you do.
If you do not like the post or don't agree with something.
And you can not add any thing helpful. Then maybe it is better not reply to the post at all..

Thank you Thank you Thank you for posting this! I am a fairly new member here and have felt the need to stop coming here lately because of the "hate mail" and unkind words that have been spoken to me. I am here to learn and be the best yorkie owner that I can be. I was going to delete my profile and find another source to learn about my yorkie but have decided to stick around and hope that because of this post people will be kinder and I don't have to be so afraide to post a question or comment here and there. Bailey and I thank you.

Kimberly, you rock! I happened to be here this morning and sadly witnessed what I am assuming was your inspiration for this post. I applaud you for your dedication to this site. It is a great idea for all of us to remember that we were all newbies once, and to take that into consideration when replying to every post. I think remembering to reply in a manner that KEEPS the thread on track is important as well. Seeing threads that start with an earnest question become hijacked by people who purposely turn the conversation into something completely different drives me insane. (OK, it's true, I was nuts long before YT, lol

).

Thanks again to you and to all Moderators and Admin for all you do to keep YT the wonderful site it is for all of us! I am seriously interested in becoming a Moderator some day, and you are my hero!
