To ALL YT Members! Please Read*** As moderators, it is our responsibility to keep this a friendly community. We do the best that we can and make decisions in an impartial manner. As a moderator I have to admit that I have been appalled by behavior here on YT lately. I read threads as a new member would, if we all did that maybe we would think twice before replying in such a way that includes inside jokes, judmental sentiments and rude comments. When I came to this forum I did not have a lot of knowledge about yorkies, as Simon was my first pet ever. I did not know about puppymills, bad breeders, pet stores, "teacups", the different colorings of yorkies, or anything about training a new baby. If I had received some of the responses I have witnessed in the past few weeks to new members (who are only looking for advice) I never would have stayed here. I also realize that just by being here we form relationships with other members whether good or bad. At times this is very frustrating but please let the past be the past and move on. If you need to take a break from the forum please do. If a post frustrates you walk away, take a break and look at the nursery (nobody can be upset looking at baby yorkies) but please do not post hastily out of anger. I apologize for the length of this but I have felt for awhile it needs to be said. After all, we are here because we have a serious love for Yorkies and remember we can teach others what we have all learned. None of us came here knowing everything and some of us came knowing nothing but we continue to learn everyday and that is what makes this a wonderful community. Thank You, Kimberly~ ** New members ALWAYS feel free to ask any yorkie questions you may have, and please give us feedback when you have site questions, concerns, or feel that you have received an inapprpriate response. We are here to help you and hope that you will continue to be a valued part of YT. Last edited by simonandhallie; 02-09-2006 at 05:18 PM.

I certainly agree with you and I think we should all help each other with the different issues instead of downing each other. Thanks for the freindly reminder on how we should all look at things.

Thank you Kimberly......from another Kimberly. Admin did a good thing when he picked you to be a moderator for all of us crazy yorkie fanatics. I think you do a tremendous thing for YT and I apreciate it greatly....more than you will ever know....I too want this to be a friendly and warm place where people feel good about coming here and are never afraid to post out of fear of being ridiculed, or treated unkindly. We are all passionate about a lot of different issues and we need to be open minded in spite of our passions and openly accept other points of view. The internet may seem anonymous but this forum is really not that anonymous. We get to know others very quickly and I liked what you said about looking at posts as though you are a new member. That makes a lot of sense. We should all write our posts with the idea that new members will be reading them.
