| I think that is high. I got mine for 900 and 1200 from a local breeder.

| I would venture to say that's not a bad price at all as I have paid more than that for a good qualitypuppy. |

| I paid $2100 for Bella and $1500 for Ruby. I wouldn't say it's too much money for a Yorkie if you can afford it but i will say there are way cheaper Yorkies out there. It's just your personal opinion and if that Yorkie feels like the right pet for you.

| In Israel the prices are: for pet start from 600$ -800$ And from good parents (usially show dog) from 1300-1800$. This is for pussies. But if you want to be sure that it's a show dog, you must to buy yorkie at 6-8 month and it will cost much more. 3000$ + usially. ah..and here we don't have any different beetven males and felams prices ! It's all the same. |

| Here in Germany they go for as little as $350 and most I saw $600. Probably those with the best pedigree don't list a price. All of these puppies I saw have papers. I personally don't understand paying so much for an animal. Good luck on finding the perfect baby for your family! |

| I got my perfect Bubu four and a half yrs ago when she was one year old. I deliberately wanted a one yr old to make sure she would be small. At that time, JUST FOUR YRS AGO, they wanted $1200 for a puppy and Bubu was a $1000 because she was a yr old......NOW SHE WANTS $2400 - $3000 for a puppy. I have a friend who got a Yorkie from Kansas for under $800 and flew to pick her up rather than have her shipped. Even with the airfare the dog was a lot cheaper than getting her in NY. Something to think about with a small town breeder. |

| The price sounds high for a pet quality Yorkie. I would strongly suggest that you do more research before buying from them. Are the dogs and breeders from Brazil? If so, you should find a web site for them. Also, there might be more people on here who can give you a reference for the breeders.. I am not saying they are bad breeders or anything, because I do not know them at all. BUT, if I were gonna buy a dog for that price, I would travel and get it myself so I can see everything about it and where it was bred and lives now.. |

| The initial cost of a Yorkie is almost inconsequential. It is the lifetime of health care that is really costly. Can you afford hospital stays if your pup gets sick or injured? This could end up in the several thousands....How about grooming? If these additional costs are no problem, go ahead and buy the pup you like. |

| Thanks for the suggestions!!!! I will do a lot of research before I end up getting my Yorkie. I have thought about the healthcare costs and everything that comes with having a dog. I mostly care about finding a dog I really like and is healthy. These breeders are in South Florida so I'm planning on visiting them to see the puppies and find out some things about them. Thanks again for all the help! |

| I paid $500 for Oscar and he is AKC registered. I got him here from a local breeder in North Alabama. She offers females for $600 and she does offer a health guarantee with her pups. PM me if you would like to have her information.

| A lot of people have paid that much for a Yorkie ---but I don't think you need to ---if you're patient and shop around. I paid $850 - for a wonderful little guy. There are no restrictions as far as breeding him - but I am not going to paper him anyway because he will always be only a pet to me. I won't be showing him and he's going to get neutered soon. He is six months old and I think he'll end up being about 6 1/2 pounds - a wonderful size for me. Carol Jean |
