I got my perfect Bubu four and a half yrs ago when she was one year old. I deliberately wanted a one yr old to make sure she would be small. At that time, JUST FOUR YRS AGO, they wanted $1200 for a puppy and Bubu was a $1000 because she was a yr old......NOW SHE WANTS $2400 - $3000 for a puppy. I have a friend who got a Yorkie from Kansas for under $800 and flew to pick her up rather than have her shipped. Even with the airfare the dog was a lot cheaper than getting her in NY. Something to think about with a small town breeder.
