She complained that I would take too long, and I replied. I can't bring her out naked! (even though I meant because of the cold), I CAN'T WAIT TO SHOW HER HOW YOU REFERRED TO THE NAKED POODLE

Anyway, I agree that yorkie's are the prettiest, I waited 26 years worth of kid's choice of puppies before the kids grew up and left and I got my YORKIE

My Mom met Chloe recently on our last trip to NY and she said she looked "scruffy" I told her that she also looked scruffy in the morning (we had just driven 19 hours by car) and that was no way to refer to her newest grandchild! She laughed it off, but after spending a half hour with my baby, she's in love (scruffy or not!)

how could anyone think these precious babies are ugly? I truly think that it is envy more than anything speaking through these miserable, unhappy people. They are all just HATERS if you ask me.

If this was a "pick-up line" it obviously didn't work. Times like those it pays to have a quick wit..... and a ready come back. You know like drop a case of dogfood on his toes, while smiling sweetly.

LMAO...I think that's sooo funny! I'm always massaging my Yorkies feet and call them little "squirrel" feet. I think it's sweet they're so tiny.

I just remebered once in petco when Tucker was about 5 or 6 months someone said, "That dog is so ugly, it looks like a rat!" and I turned around and said, "and have you looked in the mirror today?" It was probably a little too mean, but oh well. No one calls my baby ugly and expects to not hear from me!

One thing I learned in a hurry was that little Yorkies are definite chick magnets,I've loss count how many times they came up to Riff to speak to her and get a Yorkie kiss!!

I would have been PISSED. I would have said, "I have a Yorkie!"

This scenario actually reminds me of people who say "trailer trash." I used to live in a trailer park until I was 11. So when people say that, I say, "I used to live in a trailer." They think I'm kidding, but when they realize that I'm not they get really embarrassed.

It's just pure jealousy!! They WISH they could afford to pay that much for a dog. Oh, and all the luxury toys, grooming, and high quality food to go with her/him.

Wow, I just read all these posts, and not one good one in the whole bunch.

My little neighbor girls call Sadie the "Teddy Bear" dog. It is so cute, plus she loves kids.

OK, I got a compliment on Sunday that has kept me smiling ever since.

I was walking Sadie, with my parents, at the airport. I live in a very small town, and the city has paved paths all around the airport, so it is a neat walking/bicycle path. I won't walk her out there alone, as there are sometimes big dogs running loose, and this scares me.

Anyway, this older man stopped his car and yelled over, "Hey,
those are the best dogs in the Universe". I said well you sure recognize a Yorkie, some people don't.

He said he had one for 12 years, and has missed it ever since.
I told him he needed to get another one, and he said as soon as he retires, he is getting two.

Then, again, he said they are the best.

I am like everyone else on here, she is like my child, and I will defend her every time.

Having grown up with Golden Retrievers I have to confess that at one time I too was afflicted with a prejudice for big dogs. The first Yorkie I ever actually knew belonged to my future wife and at first I just didn't get the whole Yorkie thing. But before long "Dixie" went about converting me and I am happy to say she succeeded. I think that a lot of people don't realize that most Yorkies have more personality in their dewclaws than most other breeds will ever hope to have. Maybe its the bow on the topknot and the impossibly long hair that people can't get past, but that is their loss.
