I would have been PISSED. I would have said, "I have a Yorkie!"
This scenario actually reminds me of people who say "trailer trash." I used to live in a trailer park until I was 11. So when people say that, I say, "I used to live in a trailer." They think I'm kidding, but when they realize that I'm not they get really embarrassed.
