| How much did your baby weigh when you brought her home? I know the weight question has been asked so many times on this board. And did not want to irritate anyone by asking, but still curious. I went see Chloe at the breeder's yesterday. She makes 5 weeks today and the breeder says she weighs 1 pound and 6 ounces. It has been nearly 14 years since we had Lacey our last yorkie as a puppy. She came home at 6 weeks old and weighed a pound and half. Her adult weight stayed at a steady 3 and half pounds. She did fatten up to 4 and half pounds as got to be an older adult. She LOVED to eat. SHe was a miss piggy. But, I have no clue how big Lacey's parents were. Because she was a pet store puppy. Chloe's mom only weighs 3.5 pounds and her daddy weighs 3. So, I am guessing as an adult she will be tiny. The breeder says she loves to eat. She shoves her little brother and sister out of the way to eat. LOL. She is also the heaviest out of the litter right now. Her brother is the runt. She is doing really well and I already love her with all of my heart. Time is flying and before you know it she will be home with us. We are ready to spoil her rotten!

| Chachi was a pound and now he is 9 lbs. Jewels was 12 oz and now she is 6 lbs. They both surpased any estimated weights by far. Aot is dependent on the parent weight

| When we rescued Brandy at 5 weeks the vet said she was 1.2 lbs. Now she is about 6 months old. I haven't checked her weight recently, it's not a big deal to me, so I think she's around 4-5 lbs. I know this is off topic, but I feel it's something you should know. I honestly wouldn't deal with anyone who breeds a female that small. IMO the breeder lacks ethics. 2 small parents doesn't mean she will have small puppies. Pregnancy, labor, and nursing on a dog that small would be very difficult on it's little body. You can get small puppies by breeding a large, 5 lb female to a tiny male. I have read that this is the healthier way to do things for the puppies and the mother. Just pick out the smallest in the litter. But please remember that HEALTH is #1, size and price should just be details. Congrats though. |

| We brought Jo home at 16 weeks and he weighed 2.3. He's now 14 months old and weighs about 3 1/2 pounds...he's bulked up a bit since he got neutered. Riley was brought home at 14 weeks (if I remember right) and he weighed 2.9. He's now almost 9 months old and weighs 4.4 but he's solid muscle...Jo has the equivelant of a Yorkie 'pinch an inch' Riley was just neutered last week so I imagine he'll probably gain a little now too. |

| I am guessing Chloe will be 4 pounds or less when she is full grown. Her mommy weighs only 3.5 pounds and her daddy weighs 3. I saw one of her puppies from her first litter. (Her daughter owns her and was their with her) And she is very tiny. Chloe is the biggest of the 3 puppies so far. She is 1.6 pounds at 5 weeks. You should of saw her when I layed eyes on her for the 1st time at 9 days old. She was like a teeny mouse. Chloe now got a chubby little belly. She is so adorable. She is looks like a teddy bear.

| It really does not matter how big Chloe gets. We will never breed her. Just a loving family pet. I will love her to pieces no matter what she weighs. I felt an instant bond with her the moment I held her in my arms.
