When we rescued Brandy at 5 weeks the vet said she was 1.2 lbs. Now she is about 6 months old. I haven't checked her weight recently, it's not a big deal to me, so I think she's around 4-5 lbs.
I know this is off topic, but I feel it's something you should know. I honestly wouldn't deal with anyone who breeds a female that small. IMO the breeder lacks ethics. 2 small parents doesn't mean she will have small puppies. Pregnancy, labor, and nursing on a dog that small would be very difficult on it's little body. You can get small puppies by breeding a large, 5 lb female to a tiny male. I have read that this is the healthier way to do things for the puppies and the mother. Just pick out the smallest in the litter. But please remember that HEALTH is #1, size and price should just be details.
Congrats though.
