I don't think raw hides are actually dried anything from an animal...I think it's a synethic material....maybe I'm wrong......

Pixie Is chewing on a Bull Pokey!

My hubby will flip out! and she loves them! So stop all of this Bull Pokey talk right now! I mean it! or you'll ruin it for Pixie!

He really kisses her.... that would stop in a heart beat! lol

Can't we call it a muscle? Hubby likes Muscles! it sounds manly! Pokey is just way too manly!

Yep, that's what the website I was reading about them on called it. Muscle sounds much nicer than the reality! Pretty funny though!

Bully sticks don't deter dh from kissing Trace, however, the first time I told him WHAT they were....I'm pretty certain I saw a shiver go down his spine

Yep, I'm gonna have to go get some today too (hope that Pet Boutique here in town has them). I just really enjoy Tatum's excitement when she gets that greenie after her bath and hate to take that away from her. I haven't decided if I will give her one of these bully sticks after bath instead or as an everyday thing.

So, those of you that give these things to your babies..... how many a week do you let them have?

My two girls like bully sticks.....but they love flossies.

These two products are make by Merrick and are fully digestable. Merrick has their own website to order from if you don't have some place local that carries them.

We do have a local pet supply store that carries a lot of good food brands, treats and chews. I have never seen the Merrick brand at Petco.

I recently bought a whole case (50 of the flossies) and the box is in the top of the closet. Zoe' knows this and when she doesn't have one down to chew on, she points her nose in that direction sniffs and barks to let you know she wants one.

So yes I definetly think they can smell them.

They are good to clean the teeth. The chewing keeps the tarter from building up. Both of mine even my 12 week old love to chew.

Well KimMee is chewing on a bully stick right now. I let her chew on it everyday, especially in the evening when hubbby and I want to watch tv- the really thick one I got has lasted over a month and it cost $3.95. I got some thinner ones and I would say they have lasted a week each and that is with chewing everyday for maybe two hours. I got a pack of 5 at PetSmart for about $6.00. The ones in the package didn't smell as bad as the first one I got. Some of them can really stink.

Thanks for the info! So, these are something that last a long time apparently (depending on how aggressive a chewer they are). I'll try to find some tonight or order them tomorrow. Can't wait to see her reaction!
One other thing though.... should I keep her off of the leather couch when she's chewing on this thing? Sounds like it gets a bit sticky and we have one of those kinda sueded leather couches that will show wet spots. The floors are wood and the rugs are dark so I'm not worried about those - just thinking about the couch.

OK I just broke down and bought my Zoey some from I'm a precious pup along with a couple of other treats and tees. What a neat site. I had to buy the desperate housedogs tee too, after I saw that one, me and my co-workers were howling over it....

Found the bully sticks at the Pet Boutique. I just bought a 6" one for now to see how she likes it but I think Mommy is the Queen for a while at least! She's ignoring everybody and everything and concentrating on that thing for a while. She loves it! When Daddy got home, she pranced up to him with it in her mouth to show it to him. Just as I started to ask if he knew what it was, he put it between his teeth and started teasing Tatum with it!

I was laughing so hard it took a minute to tell him what it was! Then he tried to kiss me (after spitting in the sink)!

I do believe we have a new favorite treat now. I'll have to look around and see what they are priced at other places because this store charged $2.50 for the 6" size.
