| YT 2000 Club Member | I so appreciate all your help about dog food. My yorkies dont have any problems. Just 8yrs. I am concerned about fat. They are at a good weight and active. 16% should be ok. For now. I just haven't found d a senior food I like. I will keep them on lifes abundance unless I find one I like. Or if a problem arises. |

| Quote: You can insist of reading labels. Go right ahead. I don't do that. I have explained it and not going to bother again. I will continue to feed my dogs the foods recommended by experts in animal nutrition....

![]() Note that there were no comments on the nutritionist whose CV I posted. Once people stop believing in science, there is not much sense trying to explain.

| Sorry for bumping into an old conversation. While I haven't personally owned a Yorkie, I've heard great things about some brands. However, it's always a good idea to consult with your vet to determine the best food for your pup's specific needs. As for ones to avoid, it's generally recommended to steer clear of dog foods with artificial additives or fillers. And I’d also like to share that I recently stumbled upon a fantastic resource https://cutepetcare.com/my-dog-sudde...o-sleep-alone/ that I find super useful for animal care tips and recommendations. I often refer to it when caring for my own pets, and it might have some valuable insights for you too! |

I would urge you to read ALL of what has been posted here on this thread. I feed my pups RC and they are fine and healthy. I am not a vet nor a vet nutritionist.....that is why I consult with them. They are qualified to state facts about animal nutrition. Lay people on the internet simply are not. I am sad to see so many people these days not trusting science, but it isn't something I can fix. I just continue on and give people the info that I trust just like others here do. It is up to the people reading it to decide what is right/wrong for their pups.

Again, you can choose to believe what you will. I am not here to convince anyone. I am simply NOT going to rubber stamp things that are NOT based on current research and simply NOT going to listen to armchair veterinary nutritionists. People read these forums and I am one who feels strongly that I should not ignore what I think is not valid. I am not here to hog tie anyone. I simply share what I believe is valid based on that word SCIENCE. You just recenly posted something about ingredients in RC being appalling. I have NO idea where you got that information but as of THIS DATE there is no research I know of that would agree with you. Sadly, infinite possibilities were responsible for many dogs dying from the "grain free fad". At the time this was pushed, many of us here on YT were concerned because there was NO science behind it. All that was out there was dog food companies pushing foods that were NOT backed by science or responsible veterinary nutrition. Now they know what was wrong with those foods............it was not just a simple thing. OK...enough said. I will continue to feed my very healthy and very loved pups Royal Canin foods.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After all the reading you said you did on this thread, I cannot help but wonder who you think buys dog food based on a photo on the bag. Surely not those of us who believe in listening to experts. I have no clue how I missed that sentence but have to say it's hilarious.

| I have three pups on this food and it has saved them. Two of them had recurrent pancreatitis and this food has been wonderful for them, keeping them healthy and out of the hospital. ![]() That dog on the bag must be a new yorkie mix. ![]()
