I am sad to see so many people these days not trusting science, but it isn't something I can fix.
I just continue on and give people the info that I trust just like others here do. It is up to the people reading it to decide what is right/wrong for their pups. |
Science is ever evolving. Science once said that it was perfectly safe and okay to smoke cigarettes. it was "physician approved" it wasn't until there was a mass increase in lung cancer that new science came out and linked smoking to lung cancer. There are several examples just like that ,where something that was previously deemed safe and healthy and backed by science, turned around with new science showing the opposite. From reading this thread, it seemed as if everyone was ganging up on that person for having a differing opinion . I felt what they shared was not unreasonable and was extremely helpful. Sometimes we must use our own discernment as well as our own observation when making important decisions about our loved ones health and diet. Science is not the end all be all and because of its ever evolving nature it should also not be held as always being the definitive answer. We live in a world of infinite possibilities. if you throw enough money at something and look at something hard enough, science can prove most anything.
