| [QUOTE=Lovetodream88;4798476]Oh yeah I totally get it. My boys are weird and like dog food over human food which I had never seen before. I’m a hugely stubborn person but the pups are my weakness and they will out stubborn me every time lol.[/QUOT I'm still sticking to my guns. Gidget has met her match in stubbornness. |

| Well, I did it. This is day #3 and Gidget has finally decided to eat her 2 meals a day. I divided her daily amount in two meals; one in the morning and one in the evening. What veggies and/or fruit can I give her as a treat before bedtime. Don't want to use the treats you buy at the pet store. Don't feel like they're the best thing to feed her on a regular schedule. |

| Frozen green cut beans, thawed or frozen, no calories in them or, boil one boneless chicken cutlet another calorie free food, give as much as you feel she needs, the rest wrap up and put in fridge for the next night, frozen peas or carrots have calories, if you're not a calorie counter you can these. Also frozen cauliflower, frozen, thawed or cooked a bit. Fruit you have a large selection, just to name a few, apples, banana, blueberry's, cantaloupe. Do not buy the pieces of melon or other pieces of fruit sold in plastic containers the supermarkets sell. I recently read an article they can cause Salmonella. You can go online and search for fruits and veggies safe for dogs because not all fruits and veggies are safe. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...LzAtsUBqwoTHpl

| My girls get a home prepared meal between 10 am and noon for brunch and between 6 and 8 pm for dinner. When I was feeding kibble I would have loved to free feed, but Lollie is a food hog and Lacie is Ms. Picky eater. |

| I am a huge fan of scheduled feeding. I do not like free feeding at all especially with multiples, personally. You don't know how much one is eating on a daily basis, it is not as easy to tell when one is getting more than the other, if one is sick or feeling under the weather, etc. I also feed mixed with canned food or real food like chicken or cod so it is not something i can just leave out all day. I feed Jackson and Lola 3x a day usually. The 3x started after Jackson had pancreatitis and IBD and was always hungry. We initially had to feed 4-5 small meals per day. But now we are down to 3 times. On the week days when I work, they get fed breakfast at 7:45am, dinner at 4:45pm ish and again around 8:30pm ish w/ a small meal of kibble.

I think we should all do what is best for our babies and what works in our homes. If Thumper wasn't a food hound I would do it. I tried it once with Bella and she also ate all the food in one sitting.
